Why the sudden flight back to Posh’s motherland? The self-appointed style icon has returned to England to comfort TV chef Gordon Ramsay’s tearful wife Tana after allegations of an affair.
The two Brit buddies have reportedly shared a number of lengthy transatlantic phone calls and now Victoria is extending the arm of friendship by flying in to see her in person.
Posh, of course, is no stranger to dealing with the consequences of infidelity. She faced her own anguish over hubby David’s reported fling with Rebecca Loos four years ago.
Says a source: “Victoria has been a tower of strength to Tana. She, of all people, understands what Tana is going through and how you need someone a step removed to off-load all the frustration on. Tana has always respected the way Victoria handled the Rebecca Loos scandal, holding her head up high and refusing to give up on her marriage. She just never expected to be in the same position. Victoria also understands that no matter how strong and smiley you appear in public, behind closed doors it’s a different matter. You can’t handle humiliation like that without a lot of tears and anger and soul-searching.”
