LOHAN PAYS SOME SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES

Poor Lindsay Lohan.
Despite the fact that she’s handed herself over to the po-po and vowed to curb her excessive partying, it seems her repuation and post-rehab bash in Las Vegas may have cost her a film gig.
‘Poor Things’, in which she was to have starred with Shirley MacLaine, had its plug pulled because, an e-mail from a production source cited by claims, “Ms. Lohan’s [recent] antics… have scared the bond companies, and all of the funding has been pulled.”
A pal of LiLo’s refutes the spin, saying the film “was a mess to begin with,” then adds, “Lindsay is proving to everyone that she is, and will remain, sober by voluntarily wearing the ankle bracelet and taking drug tests.”

Girl needs some help. AND GET OUT OF HOLLYWOOD! I’m glad someone cut off her funding for the movie.. blacklist her and let her get the REAL help and counseling she needs. Constantly giving her parts is only enabling her behavior. I don’t think she is a bad person, she just makes careless juvenile decisions b/c no one Just Says NO!

I am glad that Hollywood is FINALLY realizing that Lindsay Lohan is not worth the risk, i mean, i am sorry, am i living in a parallel universe ? Why they keep on hiring this girl? Because in the world that i live this chick had ONE sucessefull movie THREE years ago!! She is not the new Julia Roberts in box office numbers and she is not Kate Winslet in acting ability. Take way the tabloid madness and what is left?
Anne Hathaway has been having successful movies since 2001 ( The Princess Diaries, The Devil Wears Prada, Brokeback Mountain, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement ), Keira Knightly just got an Oscar nomination for best actress and stared in one of the biggest box office’s hit from Disney , Rachel Macdams not only was great in Mean Girls, she also made the same money with The Notebook (not to mention she is a better actress) Natalie Portman carried “V for Vendetta” all by herself and the movie actually made more money than Mean Girls.
SHE IS A PR FRAUD, does she have talent? yes, but so millions of girls, give the job to actress who actually gives a damn.

It’s less a matter of talent than of public interest. Will casting her in a lead role attract viewers? Probably. People seem to love to talk about her. Movie-makers want to cash in on that publicity. People are more likely to notice a movie featuring someone famous rather than a talented unknown. But as seen with Tom Cruise, too much public interest in a star can be bad for the movie.

Funny they turn on Lohan this quickly - how long did they put up with Robert Downey Jr.? I know many directors think he’s a genius BUT I wonder if this smacks of gender bias? Or is it just the times, we’re less likely to give 5 & 6 chances to people?

Her pals don’t get that “by voluntarily wearing an ankle bracelet” she is PROVING that she’s unable to handle sobriety without constant surveillance - yeah, if I were the bond company I’d be pulling the plug on that bitch too. The whole point of going to rehab is to get to the point where you CAN say “NO” without resorting to such rediculous antics.

The big difference with Robert is that he was extremely professional when working, i dare you to find an article about him getting late or not showing up to work. In fact thats why Hollywood keep on hiring him for years, never a film rearranged production because Robert got late to shoot a scene.

well if the dumbass was serious about rehabilitation and her career, she wouldn’t be jeopardizing things by going to clubs/vegas etc. PERCEPTION means more than reality in many cases, so even IF she was sober, she’s a dumbass to go to clubs cuz the *perception* will be that she’s doing dirt again.

Public interest does not have to be positive. Look at how often she appears on gossip blogs, look at all of us commenting on such a post. I’m just saying people talk about her and that might appeal to those casting movies (especially when they can’t afford talented, well-known actresses).

Pin, that is only ONE of the factors when considering an actor for a film. As others have very well put it,there is more to making a movie than simply CASTING. At the very beginning of a film, bonds are put up for each and every actor by what is called a “completion bond” company. Look for it in the credits of the film. The higher the risk the actor, the higher the bond. Lindsay is clearly not worth the risk if you weigh that against her ability to bring in ticket sales, her raw talent, ability to actually show up on time, know her lines, work with the director and other actors, etc. At the end of the day, there are many other young women who can do the job. What about that little Hanna Montana? She would whip the pants off Lindsay at half the price with twice the box office, stone sober.

Robert Downey couldn’t get a job for a LONG time, if I remember correctly. It was only after he straightened up, David E. Kelly was the first to gamble on him.
RD also had an Oscar Nom to back up his talent.

That’s odd–most of the other blogs are saying the film was killed for lack of cash flow and that LL had nothing what ever to do with it–but then that’s not as much fun as blaming it all on LL. I understand that Paris and her aunt visited a children’s hospital yesterday–don’t hear anything much about that here.

I have no doubt that she still receives scripts, but i can assure you that those scripts arent the ones that are directed by Scorsese, Ang Lee or Spielberg. she will continue to get scripts and they will be worse and worse by the time, have you people not notice that she no longer is the leading lady of her films, almost all her latest films were small supporting gigs in small budget films (with the exception of “i know who killed me”), do you really think is a coincidence, after “Just my Luck” failed she no longer is doing romantic comedies. Keira has Atonement for the Oscar season, Natalie and Scarlet have the Boleyn’s Girls also for Oscar season, Anne Heatwhay just finished Get Smart with Steve carrell, It is not a coincidence that she is no longer working in 50 millions dollars budget films.

Mike C.: Arasto didn’t post the Paris at Children’s Hospital pics, because he knows it is BULLSHIT. She went in the hopes that paps would take pics of her there, because she’s been out partying all week.
The LAST people who should be exposed to Paris are children. If my child was in the hospital, I wouldn’t let that skank NEAR him/her.
