Tammy Faye is scheduled to appear on ‘Larry King Live’ tonight, but, as a surprise to everyone, a portion of her interview was aired last night.
Though she’s stopped treatment for the cancer, Tammy still has a positive outlook, insisting that her physicians not tell her how limited her time is. “I asked them not to tell me,” she says. “I don’t want my faith level to go down. That’s in God’s hands.”
It’s clear the consummate survivor has turned these moments of weakness and pain into her finest and strongest times.
Tammy’s full interview airs tonight on CNN at 9 pm.

Can someone please tell me something: and i’m not asking this in a spiteful way, but didn’t her husband, the first one, baker, swindle people out of house and home, millions and millions of dollars?? or am i mixing them up with someone else?? cuz i do NOT get why she is loved and admired by so many if she is who i’m thinking of!

She had some effect on the Christian community.huh
they forgave them dethroned them but still revered them. They were almost cultish at one point. Then the Jessica Hahn scandal..
I think the people were more sympathetic to her because she was cheated on.

HORROR OF HORRORS! Poor thing!
July 19th, 2007 at 4:48 pm
what an amazing woman.
July 19th, 2007 at 4:54 pm
That’s really sad to see, but it is amazing how strong she is. I don’t blame her for not wanting to know how long she has to live. God bless her though.

Man, its sad to see her in that condition. She doesn’t look the same and her voice is so weak. But bless her for living each day to the full extent. I read that she still goes out to like church and maybe lunch, plus she puts her makeup on everyday also. She’s amazing!

coco thank you so much. good night everybody

Yeah, I am more sympathetic towards her than I am Jim Baker. I guess I always felt it was he who was the “mastermind” behind it all, and not Tammy Faye. Even though she was “de-throned,” she still preaches God’s love and her faith. I didn’t care two licks about her until I saw on her on The Surreal Life, oddly enough. I expected her to be judgmental and hateful to the people who were very different from her (like Ron Jeremy), but she wasn’t. She didn’t engage in wild activities, but she was good to everyone there. I think she’s a survivor.

okay, if it was her in the embezzlement scandal then i will go on disliking her. i’m shocked at the public support for her. a man and a woman, husband and wife that run a business are EQUALLY responsible.
July 19th, 2007 at 6:39 pm
I think she truly trusted Jim Bakker. I think men and women, even when ‘partners’ in a business can still hide things and have shady business practices. I really think she just went along for the ride and was a good little “Christian submissive’ wife. I think she played the part he wanted her to play. Then he turned around and screwed her over….in every sense imaginable.

I can’t even imagine….t is probably the absolute worst thing to go through. I hurt for her just watching her try to breathe and speak.
I feel for her family having to watch her suffer.
July 19th, 2007 at 7:55 pm
I really liked her when I saw her on the surreal life. I agree with Erica, I thought she was going to be all judgemental and preachy but she wasn’t. She lead by example and loved the others for who they were and accepted them. That’s how all christians should be. I really thought she was great after that.
I don’t know if its possible for her to beat this, but I sure hope she can and does!

good luck tammy, god and prayers be with you! you are so brave!

Posting above me? Satan wrote that.

It doesn’t matter what she did or didn’t do or know. That has little bearing on the fact that she has suffered tremendously with a horrible disease that is killing her. I just hope we all can have as much dignity and grace in our final days.
July 20th, 2007 at 7:55 am
I agree completely, audrey, God bless this woman, I hope her pain is eased and she can have some peace as she lives her final days.

reply to “God” let him who is without sin…………….

Oh please:
The women and her ex-husband swindled people out of millions of dollars in the name of Jesus Christ, the same man she is leaving her life in the hands of in face of her illness. As a result of the greed this woman exhibited, she ruined and devastated families and showed no remorse for this. In fact her optimism was clearly based purely on fear, on fear of meeting her maker.
If she believes she is going “straight to heaven” then why is she hanging on? I would think she would be thrilled to discuss with God all the “goodness” she is resposible for on earth. However, in the real world, all her talk is meaningless compared to the all the badness she is responsible for, which she is fully aware of what she has done, let’s not kid ourselves.
I am suprised that no one brought up the devastation she has done in the name of Jesus Christ and how will she explain that to him? People, she is so scared of dying and to finally owe up to the evil she has commited that it is disgusting. God will bless her with all his fury and anger that she and her ex betowed on ther victims.

She’s not a martyr but a sinner trying make her peace.
I’m not religeous one bit either.
July 20th, 2007 at 12:15 pm
……………..cast the first stone.
July 20th, 2007 at 12:23 pm
thank you, let’s be real. i am disgusted at the praise she is getting.

We’re all going to die one day. Nobody gets out of this life alive. The question is, Where will you be spending eternity. I cannot judge Tammy Baker, God has already done that. But I don’t think many people realize that if you think you’ve made peace with God and he will accept you into his heaven, you better look at your life right now and get right with him. The Bible says to Believe on the Lord, Jesus and you will be saved. Turn from your sins. Pick up your cross, deny yourself daily and follow Him. Get yourself a good Bible and start reading and studying. You don’t need to go to a church, but you should fellowship with some people who REALLY follow Christ and are sold out to him and not to this world. Unfortunately for the Bakers, from what I have seen and read with my own eyes, they are sold out to this world. Remember, I’m not judging them, only God can do that. I’m merely expressing my opinion, based on my observations!
