Filming started today in Berlin on Tom Cruise’s new movie, ‘Valkyrie’, amid controversy over his beliefs in Scientology, which some German politicians compare with totalitarianism.
Tom plays the real-life mastermind behind a plot to kill Adolf Hitler.
But who will play Hitler? The role has yet to be cast. Producers are said to be considering Liev Schreiber.

How can it not be cast if they are already filming? Sounds like this movie is going to fall apart or go straight to DVD. Could be the end of the “Tom Cruise Movie Hit Machine”.

Anonymous, what you don’t get is if you and others continue to support Tom Cruise who have made it CRYSTAL CLEAR that he does not belive in medication for women who suffer from post-partum depression, then you SUPPORT HIM and his fucked up set of beliefs. If you go to his movies, you are putting money in his pocket and proving to Hollywood power players that Tom still has IT. Therefore, they will contine to hire him and make him richer and more powerful, allowing him to believe in his tiny little brain that his beliefs are RIGHT and he will keep spewing his vitriol.
Germans have problems accepting people with different religious beliefs. They don’t have a very good track record of tolerance.

Thank goodness…I was afraid to come out of the closet! I’m glad there are still people who like him as an actor. I just really enjoy just about anything he’s been in. He has charisma.

Just because you’re a fan of what someone does on the screen doen’t mean your all involved in their personal life or embrace their beliefs. If you look closely at the personal lives of most of these people you’ll probably never listen to music or watch tv again.

Oh, errrrrrrrrr….starting different subject. Liev Schreiber sure loves the WWII movies/TV series. He was in Rise of Evil. Can’t really see him as Hitler though…can anyone think of an actor who’d make a good Hitler? I wonder if they’ll have Goebbels in there, but he was pretty important in Nazi Germany, so I guess there will be someone playing him.
Johnny Depp might be able to pull-off Hitler.
