Katie Holmes and her daughter Suri continued their stroll through the streets of New York today after stopping at French childrenswear couture house Bonpoint.
As photographers surrounded them, a wary 2-year-old Suri clung to her baby doll and held her mom’s hand for some security.
Meanwhile, if you’ve noticed that Suri has somewhat of a uniform, there’s good reason — she’s a total “girly girl!”
Chatting with Entertainment Tonight today, the doting 46-year-old father says of his little girl: “She won’t wear pants. Kate finally got her in jeans the other day. We put the pants on and walk away and the pants are off and the dress is on.”

She’s just a girlie girl that’s all. I think it’s cute and very self aware of her. I have a friend with a little boy who is a neat freak! He was like 2 and would hold a glass away from him so not to dribble lol. My friend who I know all my life just shakes her head and shrugs her shoulders because she doesn’t know how the hell she got this clean freak child.

I used to be the same when I was her age, the only pants I would wear were little frilly shorts…there’s nothing wrong with her wanting to dress like a little girl! She’s such a cutie and I think Katie loves dressing her up like this and buying all the pretty little clothes for her. Tom obviously is adoring being a father, it’s a shame he doesn’t gush as much about his other kids. That whole situation is so odd, it’s like that don’t exist to either parents anymore. At least Tom has been seen with them a few times, Nicole is just out of their lives altogether.
OK… I can understand the pants thing…. but what about a coat? I live in the south and its been chilly here, can’t imagine what NYC feels like.

I seriously can’t stand seeing this child without a coat ever!!!! I live in NYC and it’s brutally cold. So sad that it seems like Katie would rather show off the clothes then wrap this girl in warmth! Who cares about the designer dresses if your kid ends up in the hospital with pneumonia?

I was the same way when I was a little girl — I lived in dresses and would cry if they tried to make me wear pants. My mom had the toughest time getting my snow suit on over a frilly little girl dress! Hahaha! ahhh, the memories!
WTF? Talk about irresponsible parenting! It is freezing here in NY. I send my 4 year old daughter off to school in a sweater, coat hat and gloves!

How in the hell did tom cruise make in my opnion the most beautiful hollywood baby?.she’s the most adorable thing ever but they really should put a coat on her before she gets sick.
You don’t get sick from not wearing a coat, or going outside with wet hair kiki. Flu and colds are from air born viruses. Chances are there is a car waiting just beyond the sea of cameras.

Why are people continue to defend Katie and Tom for this? Regardless of the you can’t catch a cold from being cold. It’s ridiculous that a 2 year old is running around NYC which was in the 40’s yesterday in short sleeve dress (at least have her wear long sleeve one since she wants to be girly). Forget the about the car waiting theory there have been plenty of pictures now of her in the Park running around in a summer dress while everyone else is wearing wool coats, hats, mittens etc. Will it have to be below Freezing before you admit it’s messed up?
She probably took it off herself. There are other pics of this same outing a few posts back that show she was wearing a white woolly one.
