ROSIE MAKES NICE WITH BARBARA

In the wake of their feuding last week, it was a kinder, gentler Rosie O’Donnell who shared nothing but nice words for Barbara Walters as she sat down with Meredith Vieira this morning on Today.

Said Rosie: “The fact that I hurt her is what hurts me. I do care about Barbara Walters.”

Ro sent Babs an e-mail the night after she talked to reporters to pre-empt a problem. Barbara, she said, opted to ignore her, instead voicing her disappointment on The View.

Rosie made no apologies nor did she voice any regrets. She again tried to make her point — that The View co-hosts are not all best pals: “Nobody has a movie relationship. Everything’s not always good all the time. People have tense relationships.”

Before leaving, Rosie gave props to Barbara for being a trailblazer for all women in television, adding, “I do the best I can, but I think there comes a point where she had had enough. I’m hard to take for some people. … I do love her. That’s the bottom line. Love is complicated.”

I know it’s very unseemly and not very classy to remind people ‘I told you so,’ but, I told you: There’s no change. Obama’s a hack liberal Democrat.
The entire Democrat Party looks like morticians. We have the Obama Funeral Home, and it’s called the United States of America. I mean, they’re presiding over the death of the American capitalist system! And where is Obama? He’s embalming somewhere down in the basement.
Obama is voting ‘present’ right now on the financial crisis, and this is his track record: Avoid the tough things for as long as you can.

With the recent bailouts and promises of redistribution of wealth, the liberal dream of punishing success and rewarding failure seems to be coming into reality.
