Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was in Wasilla today to do the traditional pardoning a local turkey ahead of Thanksgiving.
No big deal, right? Wrong.
Following the ceremony, the one-time Vice Presidential candidate did an interview with a local TV station…all while turkeys were being slaughtered behind her!
Much like the Bush Doctrine, Sarah went on and on and on completely oblivious as to what was going on.
So much for that whole culture of life thing!

Except that it’s the camera person is the one who knows exactly what he is pointing the camera at. And besides, where do people think the turkeys they shovel down their throats Thanksgiving come from? Some fariy turkey place, where turkeys magically come to be headless and featherless? Really?

Absolutely disgusting. Huge reason why I don’t eat meat anymore. Think it was Paul McCartney’s late wife who said if slaughter houses were made of glass walls, we’d all be vegetarians. Even if you aren’t bothered by it being barbaric, you’ll live a lot longer and healthier if you don’t eat meat full of saturated fat, hormones, pesticides etc.
I would have been so proud to have her as Vice Prez. Look at the cabinet the ‘empty suit’ is putting together.

This is fucking sick. It makes me feel even stronger about the fact that I’m a vegetarian. Eating meat to me is just selfish, we don’t need it to survive. That’s just my opinion though, if people can deal with this happening to food before they eat it then that’s fine with me. I eat meat but hate the fact that it comes from animals and how they are killed, yet I still eat meat and I like it, I guess that is odd. But, it’s easier to not think about what happens instead of seeing it in front of you. The guy killing the turkeys couldn’t keep focused on his job either. #34, it always amazes me the same group of people who say everyone is trying to get rid of Christmas and take God out of our schools. You and your family can practice whatever you want. If someone wants to pray at school, no one is stopping them. Religion and gov’t are separate. Schools are public, if you want your child raised a certain way religiously and your public school isn’t doing it to your satisfaction, put them in private school. If schools started teaching Islam or the Jewish faith in public schools, public buildings, I’d like to see how you like it. I student taught in 4th and 2nd grade classrooms. I was there for Christmas for the 4th grade classroom, when it was time to make ‘holiday cards’, kids were putting religious symbols (crosses, Jesus, nativity scene etc) and no one took them out with a flame thrower. They were put on the wall with every other card. Mass hysteria perpetuated by being isolated by ‘your’ own religion. Go find a pure Christian country then where the gov’t dictates exactly what you should do by their interpretation of the Bible.
I think you’d be hard pressed to find someone who is ‘pro’ abortion. The sad truth is that you can’t force a female to grow a baby in her own body. They will find other ways to have an abortion (coat hangers etc). When a mother’s life is in jeoporady. I would never have an abortion. I do believe life happens the second of conception. I personally could never do that and it would haunt me forever. However, a lot less abortions might happen if you went after the root of the problem to begin with which is educating and providing contraceptions. I agree with the poster who said forcing your own beliefs on others as Palin wants and that her own children don’t even follow her advice. If you don’t want an abortion, great, the sad bottom line is that you simply cannot force a woman to carry a baby.
