The uber luxurious Palm Jumeirah man-made island in Dubai is throwing the most expensive private party ever staged - at a cost of more than $32 million - to celebrate the opening of the $1.5 billion hotel Atlantis on the centre of the island.
More than 2000 celebrities from all over the world are due to make their Middle East debut, including A-listers like Charlize Theron, Robert De Niro, Lindsay Lohan, Kylie Minogue, Lily Allen, Michael Jordan, Denzel Washington, Mary-Kate Olsen and even Oprah!
International superstar Kylie was on hand to sing a 1-hour set of her best hits and rumour has it she is being paid an astonishing $4 million for her efforts.
Just to give you an indication of how big this bash is, the display will have five times more fireworks than the opening ceremony at the Beijing Olympics.

Dubai is paying all the celebs to appear to hide the fact that their religion puts homosexuals to death and even straight people have to be married to share a bed. When Clooney and his last girlfriend went there they had to say they were engaged, when they weren’t, just to stay in the same hotel room. I wonder what HoHan and SamRo are doing?
One of my friends is working on this project, and seriously it’s just going to be completely amazing! I can’t wait to go over there when it’s all finished and check it out. Mischa has been looking horrible lately, but I think she looks gorgeous here! That dress is perfect for her. Kylie looks kind of average, nothing amazing. I think Mary-Kate looks pretty good, very much her own style, but I like it. Lindsay looks kind of boring, but the necklace is hot….and Charlize is just as glowing and gorgeous as always!
