BRITNEY’S LIFE IS A PRISON

Britney Spears laments about the trappings of fame in her upcoming documentary, Britney: For the Record. And now we’ve got some quotes from the comeback queen herself before the MTV special’s highly anticipated November 30 airing.

Comparing her fettered existence to unending incarceration, Brit says: “There’s no excitement, there’s no passion. I have really good days, and then I have bad days. Even when you go to jail you know there’s the time when you’re gonna get out. But in this situation, it’s never ending. It’s just like Groundhog Day every day.”

And she doesn’t hold back when it comes to her thoughts on being placed under a conservatorship by a California court. “I think it’s too in control,” says Miss Spears. “If I wasn’t under the restraints I’m under, I’d feel so liberated. When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear but they’re really not listening. If you do something wrong in your work, you can move on, but I’m having to pay for a long time. I never wanted to become one of those prisoner people. I always wanted to feel free.”

For the Record follows Britney’s showbiz comeback with the upcoming release of her sixth studio album Circus. Filmed over three months, Britney allowed MTV unfettered access to her life. The hour-long program promises to clear up any misunderstandings the public may have about Britney’s life in the past.

That said, will you tune in?

I don’t know one person who truly feels “free” all the time. It’s called responsibilities. I’m glad she got the help she needed but being one who’s father was bipolar, I know what it’s like first-hand to see somebody go from complete joy and ecstacy to complete utter despair. It’s horrible. Even 30 years later, I still have such vivid memories of my father taking me out of school in the middle of the day to go to the amusement park and then collapse in tears and unable to move. Back then, they just thought he was crazy and ultimately he killed himself. At least Britney got help and her kids will have a mother. Whatever she feels, at least she’s alive.

It’s really sad. I think she is being really honest actually. She could easily just pretend none of it happened and just talk about her latest album like a lot of celebrities do. She’s been through a lot, and she’s still got a lot ahead of her, but being under the conservatorship is the best thing for her now I think. She may not feel as ‘free’ as she’d like to but it’s one of the consequences of having a mental disorder unfortunately. One day this will all just be in the past for her hopefully, and she can just live her life. I think she’s been able to do just whatever she wanted for too long. The discipline may have come later in her life, but it was what she needed.

Hahaha yeah I’ll watch the show. I couldn’t imagine having my life taken over by one of my parents, that’s why I moved out of the house when I was 19. To get my own life. But I’ve lived it fairly responsibly, unlike her who just didn’t know how to handle the freedom money brings. She went overboard and it not only affected her, but the lives of her kids and everyone else around her. She created trouble, and now has to pay for that I guess. I can see her dad backing off in a few years if she keeps doing what she’s been doing.
