WINONA RYDER DOES ‘VOGUE’

Almost six years after being videotaped ripping security sensors off items and shoving them into a bag at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills, 35-year-old Winona Ryder (clad in Marc Jacobs) graces August’s Annual Age Issue of Vogue magazine.
After suffering years of bad PR and a community service stint, Winona has three small movie comedies coming: ‘The Ten’, ‘Sex and Death 101′ and ‘The Last Word’ costarring Ray Romano.
Winona on her shoplifting arrest: “The attention was what was embarrassing. It was the December after Sept. 11. … So much attention was being paid to me, when we had just been attacked, and there was all this really important news going on.”
Winona on what was happening in her life before getting arrested: “Two months prior to that, I broke my arm in two places, and the doctor … was giving me a lot of stuff (Oxycodone, not to be confused with OxyContin), and I was taking it at first to get through the pain. And then there was this weird point when you don’t know if you are in pain but you’re taking it. Have you ever taken painkillers? It isn’t a reckless (state), like you’re out of your head. It’s just confusion.”
Winona on family support: “No one (in my family) ever got angry with me. Concerned, yes, but not concerned with a drug problem or anything. Because after that night I pretty much didn’t ever. … If you are ever arrested, you can’t ever do that again. I didn’t have this tremendous sense of guilt because I hadn’t hurt anyone. … Had I physically harmed someone or caused harm to a human being, I think it would have been an entirely different experience.”
Winona on relationships and children in her future: “It’s this weird pressure that I probably shouldn’t even talk about. You know how people ask, ‘Who is the love of your life?’ God, I hope I haven’t met that person yet, in a way, because I’m single. I hope I haven’t had that, since that would be sad.”

she looks scared.

Ever since she had her eyes done she looks perpetually shocked/scared. She is a good actress & I hope her upcoming movies do well.

I AM SO HAPPY TO SEE HER BACK!!!!!! She is one of my favorite actresses, and I’m glad she is coming back.

Her eyes look scary but she’s still pretty. Oxycodone is the generic name for Vicodin, that shit will mess you up.

Am I the only one who thinks she looks old as hell on the cover? Serisously she looks about 50. Why? Her hair even looks as if it is turning white.

Anyone with a link to a before/after to see her eyes? I think she looks the same, but have not payed close attention. She’s very pretty and looks a young 35, but the hair is also aging her in this pic.

the concept couldve been a good cover but she does look old and a little tired.

SHES 35???????? wow…
July 17th, 2007 at 12:56 pm
She looks old as hell. And taking Vicodin has nothing to do with shoplifting so that was pointless of her to mention.

I can’t help it, every time I see her all I can think is, “Shoplifter!!!!!”

Is she trying to say that the drugs made her shoplift?
July 17th, 2007 at 5:18 pm
She looks old in that cover pic, I agree. She’s still very pretty and looks okay for being 35.
July 17th, 2007 at 6:31 pm
Oxycondone and Oxycontin are in fact the same drug. Looks like somebody is still high.
July 17th, 2007 at 8:05 pm
Why yes, Winona IS trying to make a connection between the painkiller use and her sticky little fingers. She only shoplifted because she was CONFUSED, dontcha know. Funny how she was only CONFUSED at a really high-end, expensive store (Saks). And that she was so CONFUSED that she brought scissors along to cut the tags off. Man, that Oxycodone is some freaky shit, huh?

She should probably shoplift some eye ream and moisturizer next…
July 18th, 2007 at 12:43 am
she looks gorgeous– she looks the same, nothing wrong with her eyes, she’s a natural beauty & a natural talent….
July 18th, 2007 at 4:43 am

What the hell Vogue?! They bring the fug these days, nothing against Wino Forever but there is something wrong over at Vogue HQ when TEENVOGUE brings out more exciting covers and editorials. When did they become so Wasp-y?!

She resembles Salma Hayek to a T.
July 18th, 2007 at 10:22 am
Love her! She looks good now but she used to look even better. I guess it’s hard to keep the kind of young fresh beauty that she used to have in the 90’s. ^ Mentioned Salma Hayek and Nicole Kidman are examples of actresses who look better now than 10 years ago.

Winona looks so pretty on Marc Jacobs dress ! I’m always supporting her from my heart . She is No,1 idle for me. No,2 is Red Hot Chili Peppers !

Noni, you look beautiful!! I am a huge fan and I’m glad she’s back.
Funny how people attack like vultures when somebody in the public eye stumbles.
