Dressed casually, the Oscar-winning actor was out with some friends celebrating a pal’s birthday.
Meanwhile, in a new interview with Access Hollywood, Jamie says that Barack Obama’s election win means that African Americans have no more excuses.
Says the 40-year-old star: “I don’t know how people felt but I know how I felt, as far as being an African-American male. I speak now to every African-American male that I see. Now we have a responsibility, a huge responsibility to make sure we do the right thing now and to cut out all the madness and silliness. Now we don’t have an excuse.”
He adds: “We can’t say it’s the man’s fault when you are the man.”
Next up for Jamie? An appearance at Obama’s inauguration on January 20 in Washington, D.C.
