Barbara Walters pimped her upcoming Friday 20/20 segment with Thomas Beatie, a.k.a. the pregnant man, this morning on The View.
Before offering viewers a sneak peek from the special, Babs told the audience she had a surprise announcement. The footage aired and we got a brief glimpse inside of Beatie’s life with wife Nancy and new baby Susan.
When they cut back from the clip, Miss Walters said: “So we’re doing this interview and I’m asking him if he’s taking testosterone again and he says no … so we’re talking about how they do it, what’s their sexual life like, how do they raise the child, and then I don’t know what …. I looked at him, and I said ‘Are you pregnant again?’ Thomas Beatie the pregnant man is pregnant again. The baby will be born in June. And I said ‘I’m speechless’ and they said ‘We thought you would be’.”

Stop calling her an IT! This is a WOMEN. She even delivered the last baby vaginally. The only thing she’s missing is breasts which SHE had took off and SHE has a beard.
I don’t understand why this is “disgusting.” They’re a couple. He’s a man–whether he was born with the right parts or not. They love each other, and they want a family. She cant have children, so because he has chosen to keep the parts he was born with, he’s able to carry their child. It’s an unusual story, but a happy one. To all those who say it’s “disgusting”, get over it. We’re all people in the end.
That’s fine if they want to have a family but don’t call yourself a MAN for PUBLICITY. It is about the parts. Whatever is in her head about being a Man okay. I am all for gays and lesbians and I think it’s great if they can become parents, but this whole situation is just completely fucked I’m sorry. They are basically a lesbian couple, but one of them looks like man but is now having a baby. If I find it confusing and screwed up, imagine how it is going to be for that child, or children?!
