Following in the erratic steps of counterpart Britney Spears, ‘American Idol’ reject Katharine McPhee buys herself a Chihuahua puppy from the Bel Air Pet Shop in Los Angeles in Sunday.
The sexy songstress was celebrating her recent offer to join the cast of an upcoming yet-to-be titled Adam Sandler-produced movie. McPhee will play a wild sorority member who is taken under the wing of Playboy Bunny-turned-den mother, Anna Faris.

Wonder how much this one cost?? I was in a pet store the other day & saw the cutest Lhasa Apso. I asked the price & it was 3,000.00. I almost hit the floor.
I wish these stupid Hollywood hos would get a life. When did carrying around ugly little dogs become so cute? I know McPhee did it to get press because she sucks but it’s all so lame. And doesn’t everyone know that you aren’t supposed to even buy dogs from a pet store?

In case you didn’t know, Katharine has had pets all her life and loves dogs. They aren’t just accessories to her. Besides, what would make anyone in their right mind think she would need to carry a dog to gain attention? Paparazzi descend on her the minute she gets out of her car.
Who in their right mind pays $3k for a puppy? What’s wrong with getting a dog from an animal shelter? Plenty of stray and abandoned dogs needing homes there.
