Proposition 8, the constitutional amendment outlawing same-sex marriage, was passed with approval by 52% of California voters.
It should come as no surprise that gay and straight celebrities are airing their disappointment.
George Clooney tells E!, “At some point in our lifetime, gay marriage won’t be an issue, and everyone who stood against this civil right will look as outdated as George Wallace standing on the school steps keeping James Hood from entering the University of Alabama because he was black.”

Put the blame where it needs to go. The current democratic Congress has been in control for the past 2 years. And they have the LOWEST approval rating in history. Bush doesn’t have supreme contol over Congress or the House. Congress is unfortunately in Nancy Pelosi’s hands as the current lame-duck in charge. Bush hasn’t been a good president, but at leat he isn’t willing to put our contry at risk and pile more debt on the American taxpayers. How about Pelosi’s brilliant idea to give MORE money to the financial institutions who are already being criticized for NOT putting the last handout they got to good use? The money was supposed to be spent to help struggling homeowners. And Pelosi now wants to hand over more, to the tune of $300 BILLION!!. (Obama wants to also!) And now she wants to bail out the auto industry. Where is this money coming from??????????
