The English pop singer has good reason to be happy after coming off of a week filled with awards and acknowledgement.
Not only did she pick up the Best Pop Female gong and Best New Act prize during the recent World Music Awards in Monaco, but Leona was also honoured at the 2008 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York as the best U.K. Solo Artist of the year.
While it appears that the Bleeding Love singer is everywhere all of the time, there is certainly one place you won’t find her — Harrods!
Leona — a longtime vegetarian — has reportedly turned down a $2 million offer to open the Christmas sale for the popular department store because they sell fur.

Wow she looks totally different without makeup!!! I wouldn’t recognize her on the street without makeup!!
Hardly a shock she won that Glamour Award, over the past 12 months there haven’t been many British solo female artists who have sold more than 200k.

I think she looks a lot prettier without makeup actually. She has beautiful skin, just glowing! I just can’t really see her becoming a big star though, I feel like she was a bit of a one hit wonder. She has a great voice, no doubt, but for me she’s just lacking something.
To turn down $2 millions just to open for Xmas sales at Harrods because of her conviction speaks volume. Especially someone who just come into the entertainment world.
She has the most gorgeous eyes!! Her nose bugs me though..
I’m impressed she turned down the $2M, but it probably had more to do with staying credible than strong convictions. Accepting might’ve done her more damage in the long run.
Absolutely wonderful voice. Deserves every award she gets. I also understand that she is a nice person with no diva stuff in her.
