A radiant Nicole Kidman grabbed lunch with a friend in the West Village of New York City on Sunday before returning to her hotel in the Meatpacking District.
Looking seasonably chic in a long black jacket, Christian Louboutin kitten heels and oversized sunnies, the often camera-shy actress and new mom offered our photogs a quick smile before tending to her weekend duties.
Nicole is in the Big Apple to begin a promo tour for her new epic action adventure Australia, but it’s her new yet-to-be confirmed role that’s making headlines. The 41-year-old Oscar winner is reportedly in talks to play Einar Wegener, the world’s first post-op transsexual.
Co-starring Charlize Theron, The Danish Girl is based on the true story of Danish artists Einar and Greta Wegener, who tested their marriage and stunned Europe with a shocking transformation in the early 1930s.

Sounds like an interesting movie. Trust Nicole to do it though, no doubt she will be naked in it. If her movie is controversial or by Baz Luhrmann, it’s a flop. Anyone else notice that?
