Noah Wyle tells the November 17 issue of TV Guide (out today) that George Clooney and Eriq LaSalle will both return to ER at the conclusion of this season.
Says Wyle: “From what I heard, George said, ‘Absolutely,’ schedule permitting.â€
As for LaSalle? He will direct an ER episode this month, and then reunite with Wyle on screen as Dr. Peter Benton for a storyline shooting this winter to air next spring.
Can’t wait!

When did Noah Wyle talk to George.. George is very busy with his business partner with several projects..
He told the media at his last movie that he won’t be doing it… so of course.. Now that Michael Crichton passed away.. why not do a tribute show to him and bring out the best of E.R
ywan…next.
George told the media a few months ago he definitely would NOT be coming back to ER. But I figured then that the producers would try and talk him into it. But really, who gives a shit either way?
It would be in great taste for him to do the show! If it weren’t for Michael Crichton, George Clooney may not be who he is today!
I never found Doug Ross such an integral character to ER. John Carter and Mark Greene, Carol Heathaway, even Carrie Weaver, Abby Lockheart and Luca Kovac were the main protagonists. If George wouldn’t be a movie star by now, his ER-character wouldn’t be so popular.
George played a peditrician.. on the show.. his character wasn’t as big as the other ones… What about Eric
Lasalle, is he coming back too.. Why bring back George.. because he is a successful awardwinning movie
star now?? Just having Noah Wyle say that why not John Wells the executive producer talk about the
return of George..
Yes, George played a pediatrician, Dr. Doug Ross…and just why do you, or anyone believe his role ‘wasn’t as big as the other ones’ ? Do you happen to have the actual scripts they used for each and every show all of the
actors acted in? And since you don’t happen to have such a script, then do you miraculously remember who had the most story lines, the most airtime, and the most plots, and are you able to tell whose roles were the biggest? Didn’t think so. Just sayin’…if you say something, please express if this is your ‘expert’ opinion, or just a personal opinion. Unless you have proof that is.
