Ave Maria was composed by Norwegian songwriters/producers Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen. They’re responsible for Beyonce’s biggest critical hit, Irreplaceable.
That single topped Billboard’s Hot 100 for ten consecutive weeks, becoming the biggest song of 2007. Will Ave Maria sing the same success?

Is she nuts or what? She is Beyonce the singer, but she is Beyonce Knowles the actress. She is only one person, I have never heard of a celebrity who has two different names depending on what form of entertainment they are making. Now she wants to have another name. Who is she, Eminem?
Those two guys may have written the lyrics to this song, but they stole the melody from an old Madonna song “Promise To Try” from the Like A Prayer album. That song was about her mothing dying when she was a child. Beyonce is nothing but a rip of artist for recording this.

Said she wrote IRREPLACEABLE but NE-YO wrote it
Said she wrote IF I WERE A BOY but BC JEAN and Todd something (i forgot his first name) wrote it
Totally ripped off the beat of MADONNA”s “PROMISE TO TRY” and used it for “AVE MARIA”
i love how Beyonce PAYS people for their songs, and then totally get credit for “writing” it. Beyonce is not that talented in the writing department. lets be honest. Give credit where credit is DUE!

Beyonce has always since day 1 talked about how she feel she is a different person on stage than in her real life. She just gave it a name, so what, she is Bey and can do that. If Madonna or Brittney did it, it would’ve be genius.

FAB, im not talking about Ciara’s “Like a boy” im talking about the fact that Beyonce Pays people (as she did with NE-YO for Irreplaceable, and BC JEAN’S “If I Were A Boy”) for their songs in order for her to get credit as a song writer for them! As she did with “Resentment” when Victoria Beckham wrote it. Check the credits for the songs, as you can see Beyonce’s name is on them, but when you listen and check the credit of the ORIGINAL songs they have the SAME EXACT lyrics. Beyonce doesnt even change the lyrics when she records them, but her name is on the credits? that makes no sense. but $$ talks. and thats all she has in order to get her name on songs she hasnt written. now, thats the truth. and as paris would say “thats hot.”

Beyonce does take writing credits when she doesn’t write the songs because she is very grredy. The songwriter makes more money on a song than the singer does, that is standard music industry rolyalty procedure.

I think Beyonce is a very talented singer, but I do think there are better versions of Ave Maria. She sings it good, but her version is not as good as Luciano Pavarotti’s.
Has anyone actually looked at the words to the Ave Maria..here and the traditional? I mean her version is silly and dumb,,its like a love song with the words Ave Maria thrown in here…The Ave Maria is a prayer…a prayer praising the Virgin Mary and her Son Christ.”Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you”, then we have Beyonces version… “I still go home knowing I’ve got you, theres us when the lights go down”. And Celine Dion didn’t make a remix. She simply took Walter Scott’s version and mixed a few words.
Andrea Bocelli’s “Ave Maria” is by far my favorite, with Celine Dion’s coming in second.
If you herd her say before that she always had a different personality when on stage then you would understand the song. Either her meaning of the song shows how even tho her personality on stage is different from her she’s grateful to know that the stage & limelights doesn’t take over her & create her into something she’s not, that was just 1 meaning and the 2nd one is that, she could be talking about someone she truly loves and considers that person as her everything no matter what circumstances she faces in life. They always seem to be there to help her and she’s just glad to know that there is a saint, god or etc. that’s here for her. It took me more than 13 times to understand the song cuz I thought she was just singing it for no reason but that’s my opinions on the song “Ave Maria”.

I just would like to say that you all are down talking each other about your opinions about the song “Ave Maria”. You shouldn’t be arguing over your opinion because it’s your opinion. That’s how you feel about it. Someone might feel different than how you feel. Like me, I actually likes the song. Even thought “Ave Maria” means “Hail Mary” Beyonce can be referring this song as ti having her first child. If you really know what “Hail Mary” means this would make since to you. It’s a love song in regards to a child she had. Now that’s my opinion. Some of you may think different but that’s how I feel. I really like this song because in some sort of way it relates to me. So I think you should really listen to the words and look inside of her heart to understand where she is coming from.
If a singer changes the melody of a song, they get credited for that. I think that’s why Beyonce is credited in all those song. I am saying “I think” because I haven’t heard the original songs she’s supposedly ‘ripped off’. I think, “Ave Maria” in the context of her song simply means “Hail Mary for giving me the life(love) that I have”. I think, and everyone else is given that right. Let us be objective, youths?

Even if she did not write all of the songs, she did a great job making them her own.

I totally agree with u. everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course, but be reasonable, have at least a lil common sense and think. I love the song ‘ave maria’. She sings it so beautifully and with such grace. I got ma own relationship and this song truly touched me and is a great way of saying “I’m extremely glad I found u and I’m with u at this very moment”. It’s just her being grateful to God about her present relationship, for the person who she’s found, or in her character in the song being grateful she found that particular person, her true love… at least she’s that grateful to the Almighty, not ashamed one bit and expressing it to the world.

It’s pretty scary when you see the comments of people stanning for a celebrity that could give two cents about them. Why is it that someone has to be jealous when they give their opinion about her?
