“She is the eighth wonder of the world. Angelina is a sublime and unique work of body art. If the procurer for the Louvre saw her, he’d want to exhibit her.”

Brad Pitt, after referring to his own looks as “banal”, on if there was anything he didn’t like about his love, Angelina Jolie’s, appearance.

puh lease.. I hate when people act like Angie is pulling strings on puppet Pitt.. GET OVER IT
That is very sweet and something you say when you are in love and have the ability to speak elequently. Unfortunately most guys don’t have the ability to express themselves and how they feel about their signif or they feel dumb b/c people think it’s “toooo much”.

^Maybe Angie is pulling strings on the puppet Pitt…& maybe she’s not. There is no GET OVER IT. Brad’s statement sounds contrived & can be pondered many different ways.

Spin.. I hear what ur saying. I just think that it’s a shame a man can not speak elequently and adoringly like that without someone thinking something is wrong with it. Not u particularly, but it’s a shame women nowadays are accustomed to men NOT speaking this way about their lady love.

If it is made up, we will never know, but it’s a shame it must be assumed it is made up. Admit it… it’s the couple not the comment, right, right? Come On, right?

^I am one that always holds hope that chilvalry & Arthurian type love is not dead, but you are correct…it is the couple. Something about these 2 isn’t right. I am always suspicious of them. I certainly hold no hate for them…just suspicion.

*shakes hands with spinner* we agree to disagree about the couple. But both agree more men should speak this way of the woman they love. BIG SMILE

that is sweet of him to say about her… but i agree it’s a bit over the top.
you think stuff like that when you’re in love, i suppose. but most men would be embarrassed to say stuff like that.

That’s so sweet!! I don’t think it’s over the top at all. Any woman would want her man to say that about her. And well, she is damn beautiful.

  11. July-13-2007 @ 11:33 am

i call bullhonkey! isn’t the mirror like the enquirer? just make quotes up n stuff, cuz this doesn’t sound like a legit quote to me…

no herpes, to me it’s the comment. i love the couple, but i think it just doesn’t sound like something he would say. i think he’s more sheltered than that, remember she said they haven’t ever said “i love you” to each other, and if they did they’d immediately have to punch each other in the arm!

  14. July-13-2007 @ 11:36 am

    HI SPINNER! :OD

Lolly, I have heard him speak on other things and Brad can be very well spoken and demure. Too, people in love can certainly say the mushiest things. Like I said, I don’t know if it’s the chicken or the egg, i just think it’s sad women (i think we are all women on this thread) find it so hard to believe a man would say things like that about the woman they love. Shit, they did it all the time up until about 40-50 years ago. It’s comments like saying what he said is “over the top” that hurt my feelings for society. Why shouldn’t a man think these things and in fact feel proud to say them. I don’t think anyone is giving Brad enough credit.

And maybe it’s uncharacteristic of him b/c he’s never been in love like he is with Angie.

one more thing - the whole I love you thing. Obviously they don’t have to say it when they show their adoration for eachother in such expressive ways. *stepping of my soapbox*.

HAHha hahah H H AHhah ah ahahahahhahah hh . Isn’t she a satanist ? They are going to be like the Benetton-Adams Family in 10years…………….Seriously. I would never EVER date her. I don’t even find her 1% attractive. Same with Marily Manson or a hive of wasps. I wouldn’t sleep with them either. She is safe with you Bradley. Wafting in the fumes of dumb ass.

    What a wonderful man!

  20. July-13-2007 @ 12:49 pm

herpes, i used that to illustrate that ahh heck never mind. i feel where you’re coming from, but i disagree on this one. i’m a lover, and a romantic but i think these particular words sound contrived and not from his heart. i just dont’ feel it’s a legitimate quote from Brad, i think the mirror made it up. and about the i love you thing, i’m not saying they need to say it, they express in other ways, but my point is, if they dont’ even say i love you without feeling goofy, then these kinds of words are WAY goofy.

  21. July-13-2007 @ 12:50 pm

and i agree that brad can sound very well spoken (i dont’ know about demure..demure is not a word i would use for him!) he’s super intelligent and educated on architecture, etc.

Hi lolly!!!! Maybe Brad’s as dumb as a sack of hammers…I don’t know. I am trying to think of any profound statements…hmmmmmm….

ok, maybe he just sounds really hot saying it.. LOL
Lolly, Spinner — though we may not agree, I have enjoyed this exchanging of ideas. Too bad other people on this site can not be as cordial. I am off work (east coast).. ta ta for now.

Well, I love the quote, whether he said it or not. I wish a man would say something like that about me. It would make me feel really good inside ::swoon::

I have read that in Japanese culture, it is to a point, disrespectful, to say “I love you” to your beloved. You only show it through your actions. To speak it in words takes away from it. Kind of sweet.

  28. BeJeeBus
    July-13-2007 @ 2:38 pm

Haha the discussion is heated.. Yeah I think that’s pretty disgusting. I guess I’m not romantic and all that, and I’d pretty much prefer a world without the mushy mushy stuff, but HELL NAAAW if anyone ver said shit like that and meant it..

They are sickening. They both look the worst they have in years - she is WAAAY too thin, sickly and worn down looking. He is just worn down. I would be tired too if I had to put up with her crazy moody ass.

Some people in this thread (like you Kathy!) are just jealous since ethey don’t have a BRAD PITT who’ll say nice things about them. HAHAHA!

    July-13-2007 @ 6:18 pm

Wow, 2 1/2 years together and they haven’t said “I love you” to each other? Not even one time? That’s sad.

Oh yeah bring on the jealousy card just because not everyone is fascinated with the looks of a living skeleton.. Yeah, nice ORIGINAL move!

But I don’t get it. Angie IS a work of art. He’s lucky to have her, so why wouldn’t he say that? True she hasn’t been bringing the sexy as much lately but she’s tired and thin and overworked, If she would just TAKE A BREAK. She’ll be back to her old ‘most beautiful/sexiest etc’ self once again. Still even on an off day she puts a lot of people to shame.
