He strikes yet again!
Bruno — a.k.a. Sacha Baron Cohen’s gay Austrian fashion show presenter alter ego — crashed a rally on Sunday in Los Angeles in support of Proposition 8, a ballot measure that would ban gay marriage in California.
Rocking a blonde wig and preppy outfit, he marched with demonstrators who support Proposition 8 while being trailed by cameras for his new movie.
When photographers and reporters blew his cover and tried to approach the comedian, crew members tried to shield him from the homophobes and he was eventually whisked away in a van.

I live in California and NO on 8!!!
That is freaking brilliant!
….can’t WAIT for this film……crazy!
Hate event? After reading about taking young children to a gay marriage in SF and kindergartners being asked to sign pledge cards to be gay friendly, I really think the only hate is from you people that are corrupting our children with your hate. I guess you think the Folsom Street Fair in SF is morally okay and taking away MY right to raise my child in Christian beliefs is hate. It is not hate towards you, it is pity because you are truly mentally ill and morally corrupt.
I think that the way that this film is being made is stupid I’m sorry. It’s interrupting real life events like fashion shows and protests, that people have put a lot of work into to only be mocked and ruined by some actor playing a silly role. C’mon Sacha…you don’t need to do this to get publicity.
Firecracker, you truly embody what it means to be a Christian, exactly as Jesus would want. You are definitely correct that you have the right to raise your children exactly how you wish. Just as you have no right to take other people’s rights away. Back in the day, it was actually illegal for a black to marry a white.
It’s sad that so much of organized religion is about ignorance, hate, and isolation from other people. Just as Jesus would want.
I already turned in my absentee vote and voted NO on Prop 8.
