Oprah just couldn’t wait. She was among the many voters casting their ballots early.
The devout Barack Obama supporter voted yesterday in Chicago, waiting “an hour and 12 minutes,” she said on her show today. “I heard two women saying, “There’s Oprah, you know who she’s voting for.”
Lady O said the experience was “emotional.”
So why early voting? Because she is taping shows Tuesday and was afraid she’d get stuck at the polls.
Oprah reportedly did a little dance as a group of polling workers together shouted out her name when it was her turn to vote.

I don’t have a problem with anyone being vocal about who they support, but I feel like Oprah has taken it a little too far. It’s almost become a prerequistite to watching her show, that you are voting Obama. It shouldn’t be like that. Her show used to be very inspirational and talk about a huge array of topics that interested everyone, not just Oprah’s own personal taste. I think the fame has gone to her head a little and the show is turning into a political platform. Not good.
Oh please… Oprah isn’t even being vocal on her show about who she supports. She hasn’t had Barack or Michelle (or any of the other candidates and their families) since Barack announced his bid and since she announced that she was a supporter. Is she supposed to sensor everyone who comes on when THEY bring up Barack Obama? I don’t think so.
I think people (ex: “Stephi”) are just making excuses and looking for drama where there is none.
Oprah is out of touch and no longer represents the very women who’s support made her ridiculously rich and famous.
All of you fervently anticipating the triumphant ascendency of Obama to the presidency are only setting yourselves up for massive disappointment. Not because he won’t win. In all likelihood he will. But rather because regardless of how much he bestows to you by taking from others, he can’t make you a success as a person. He can’t offer you fulfillment. You’ll still remain a non-productive, non-contributing, non-achieving drain on society offering nothing of substance to anyone. Fulfillment comes from within, not from a politician. One day you’ll come to this realization. Unfortunately, probably not soon enough to spare this great country the disaster that will be a president Barack Obama.
Both Oprah and Obama speak often about the themes of “neighborliness”, “family” and “community”. Taking care of the least among us even if it means sacrifice for others in the form of higher taxes. In fact, Obama says “Most people understand that if you are not caring for your family, then you are probably not the kind of person who is going to be caring for other people.†I think Obama is right about that. But what does that say about Obama, who is a multi-millionaire, when he does nothing to help his brother George living in a hut on less than $1 a day? Or his Aunt zeituni Onyang, whom he mentions in his book, who is living in squalor in a rundown housing project in South Boston? It’s a fair question. Curious to know what Obama followers on this site think about this.

Agreed, Beautiful One. There’s always some hate floating around. She makes a point not to even mention Obama’s name on her show. No matter how much of her fortune Oprah donates to charity it’ll never be enough for some people. She’s done nothing but good for others.
Oprah is the same as Obama she dosen’t help her poor family either…..any way this just reminds me of the O J Simpson trial….all the blacks stuck together and wanted OJ to go free….later we all found out how slanted the law system is. Many blacks now think OJ is a joke …..that’s what is going to happen with OBama and Oprah……after all this goes down many people are going to think they both are a joke…..then what miss money bags Oprah start sucking up to the white people to get her cash flow back on track…oprah is nothing but a tap dancing Sammy Davis Jr…..Oprah if your lestening your a big ass phoney!!
i used to not like opera but i love her now she’s such a good person with a heart of gold for a rich person who doesn’t have to think about poor people but she is doing all these and helping domocrat to win finally after eight years of misery with this republican policy i solute her she is remarkable lady she’s rather gives millions of dollars more for taxes but not see poor people suffer like these i thank her for that and anyone who says any bad thing about her is just jealouse and a curl person to not unerstand the need of poor people and i should say to these type curle and selfish people shame on you.

I respect Oprah for what she has accomplished for herself, and I am not a die hard fan, for that i can say, that what you claim about her using her show as a political platform is just pure B.S. the same inspiration and taste you saw before is still there, is just that now people know who she supports, and now its not ok. Fact of the matter is that people would want to relate to her, but now that she is separating herself from what YOU thought she was, Well now YOU have a problem, please go back to watching hannity and combs. My last comment is for ABBY: now, yes during the OJ “all the blacks stuck together and wanted OJ to go free” but if you read or have seen CNN or any legitimate news (excluding fox news) then you would know that for a man who was identified more with white america (that would be OJ) and (since its known, that blacks usually get stricker sentences than white, therefore when he was acquitted, the blacks cheered and you know why dum dum because for once a black man (who white america dressed as a white man) got free!
