Straight from the What-The-Eff files, Don King made his first visit to Israel today as a participant in the 10th anniversary celebrations of Israeli President Shimon Peres’ Centre for Peace.
Thanks to his extravagant style and unique electric-shock hairstyle, the legendary 77-year-old boxing promoter immediately hit it off with the locals including a heat-packing guard.
In an interview with The Jerusalem Post, Don said that he had attended numerous Passover Seders over the years as he feels there is “great commonality” between Israel’s historic struggles and those of African Americans.
He said he wished more African Americans would “emulate and imitate the saga of the Jewish struggle.”
