During last night’s installment of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the wife of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama revealed, “Actually, this is a J. Crew ensemble.” She wore a lovely yellow sweater, skirt and blouse ensemble. She added: “You can get some good stuff online!”
Probed by Leno about Wardrobegate, Michelle said that she and her hubby have a policy of spending their own money on their clothes. Nonetheless, she was rather empathetic towards Sarah Palin.
“A V.P. pick, it’s like being shot out of a cannon,” she said. “All of a sudden you’re at the centre of attention, and you want to look good. You’re living in your home, minding your business, and all of a sudden you’re on the national stage and everyone’s watching.”
When given an opportunity to slam Palin, Michelle effortlessly took the high road.

I love this woman and I hope she becomes our next First Lady. She’s very well spoken and handles herself with so much class and composure. Her and Obama work very well together as well. Sarah Palin should take some tips from Michelle.
I love Michelle because among other things she has never taken a shot at Cindy McCain or Sarah Palin. However both Palin and Cindy have taken shots at her, but Michelle continues to take the high road. It’s a sad day when Americans slam a woman who worked hard, got an education, and is a good wife and mother. She seems funny, down to earth and committed to her husband and family and she seems totally comfortable with everyone. She’s a first lady for the 21st century and will be a welcome change.
