The stars were out in full force yesterday at the University of Miami to participate in the Florida VoteFest ‘08, a statewide initiative to encourage people to vote early.

A-listers Matt Damon, Kerry Washington and Alicia Silverstone had fans believing yes they can as they appeared at the all-day music festival which was funded by the Miami-Dade Democratic Party to promote early voting.

The trio will soon travel by car to several south Florida cities, including Miami, Hollywood and west Fort Lauderdale, talking to the crowds and explaining to children how important it is for their parents to vote.

During the event, Matt, Kerry and Alicia all spoke to a transfixed audience, but it was Matt who undoubtedly stole the show with his natural charm. Even Alicia was caught obviously gawking over the 38-year-old star during his speech. While Damon demonstrated his insightful knowledge of politics and political issues, Miss Silverstone was in a deep trance gazing at him as if he were a giant tofurkey leg with gravy!
