Rumours are swirling that embattled pop princess Britney Spears is set to release her a new track called ‘Get Back’.
Miss Spears is said to preparing to release her first song since 2005 in the next few weeks and has a “surprising†new sound.
Britney has been collaborating with music producer Sean Garrett - who has previously worked with Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Mary J Blige - but no word on whether he has produced her comeback single. As you may recall, previous reports suggested Britney was set to release a single from her new album last Saturday. Sadly, nothing transpired.
The 25-year-old songstress has already treated a handful of fans to a sneak preview of her latest album. Dancers were asked to perform to a track from Britney’s new album during tryouts to find two new male backing dancers last month.
One dancer said: “It was dope. It reminded me of that one song you hear at 1.50am, when they call last call at a club, and it’s the hottest, nastiest song you’ve ever heard in your life and you’ve just got to put your drink down and dance to it. You’ve got no choice. Your body is insisting on it.â€
So, folks? Are we believing the latest Britney’s-got-a-new-song-coming-out rumour? Or is Britney’s career as over as her marriage?

I hope it is over. How can a person with her current looks and personality become hot again. It would be nothing short of a miracle.
I still believe she can put out another hot track but that’s not her first priority right now. She needs to get a handle on her looks ASAP. That weave is a hot mess. Besides, what’s the big rush? She shouldn’t be trying to anything prior to 2008.
it’s a studio album. all help from engineers. she doesn’t write her music or lyrics. live would suck - unless she keeps lip syncing.

She’s way over. Her fan base has grown up and moved on and there ain’t no way she can recapture that tween market, she’s ancient to them. So there you go.
Man, ANYONE and I mean ANYONE can make a song that sounds good. All the voice correction software, producing, engineering, not to mention getting someone else to write your song can guarantee your success. Her putting out a “good” song has absolutely no reflection on her.

agree Jessyka…i think she might be able to put out some hit songs (for the exact reasons you listed) but i dont’ think she’ll ever be the insane sensation she once was, or even close…she does still have a fan base though, there’s loons out there that still hold on to the old britney glory days and can’t face reality. and a small % of those people prolly like her cuz she is just like them, hillybilly trailertrash hot mess.
oh and then of course the people who are fascinated with the whole trainwreck thing; pop star once was the hottest of the hot, now she’s well, gross.
She’s over, like one commentator said her fan base has grown up. And kids these days are not into that buble gum music and lyrics. I hope she does have a new sound, it would be her best bet, but she needs to address her physical issues, she’s a mess! Why dosen’t she just rock a short haircut till her hear grows back? I think short hair would look nice on her. At least it would be half the battle as far as her current appearance. Why all the crappy hair extensions?
