She just finished her first visit to Afghanistan, according to the UNHCR website, visiting refugee camps and settlements. The two-day trip - on Wednesday and Thursday - comes ahead of an international conference on return and reintegration to be held in Kabul next month.
“The courage, resilience and quiet dignity of returnee families rebuilding their lives against the kind of adversity few of us can imagine shows the human spirit at its best,” Jolie said.

milo, the people in the refugee camps life in tents, all year long, in snow, freezing cold without enough food, water, medical help and hope for a better future. And they do that for nearly 10 years now.
So get over your ass and aknowledge that she is doing a good thing, spreading awareness for this refugees. She is one of the most famous people in the world and she is giving her time and money away for others, why is that so bad?
Afghanistan doesn’t need Angelina in rags pretending to be a poor person for a day and a photo op…. she trivializes the situation. She need to stay in her castle, learn to deal with her guilt at having a lot of money for nothing and take care of her family. Her “Goodwill” trips DO NOTHING OF VALUE AND INSULT THE PEOPLE WHO REALLY DO HUMANITARIAN WORK EVER DAY. Angelina and Brad KNOW they are superficial overpaid clothes horses and this is to make themselves feel valuable……but really they are very very peripheral. maya, personally, in my mundane life I knew about those Refugees before, didn’t need Angelina Jolie pointing their terrible situation out to me, but really apreciate that she manages to make their desperate plight known to more people. So when you can’t stand hearing gritty details about people in desperation, hunger and poverty, don’t blame your uncomfortable feeling on the messenger.

It shows how idiot you are! UNHCR is a big org and Angie is their goodwill ambassador, and its her job to bring awareness to the plight of the refugees all over the world. They get funding from the UN but at the same time they appeal to the various NGOs, foundations, countries, corporations, and individuals for funding to help them carry out what they do to help the refugees, hence UN need to spread constant awareness of what is going on with those refugees. so people who are ignorant like you just shut up!

Sorry Milo, but Angie’s movie The Changeling is doing very well on its limited release. Angie’s box office just for 2008 will be more than US$ 1 Billion. BOth WAnted and Kung Fun Panda are huge box office hits and Changeling will also do well.
