OK, maybe this title needs some more nuance. Why do liberal Democrats hate Sarah Palin? And is hate too strong a word? Should I qualify even further and say, why do liberal-progressive Democrats dislike the things Sarah Palin seems to stand for/represent?
You know what? This is one of the problems with being a liberal-progressive person who recognizes complexity. Saying “I hate Sarah Palin” is so much more pithy a phrase than, “I am not in agreemet with the political stances that Sarah Palin has taken while she has held public office in Alaska.” Really, the first phrase: catchy. Second phrase: not so much.
Pity those people. Here are some possibilities of why they are the way they are. They are jealous:
They are eaten up from the inside out with atheism, hate, death wishes for themselves and others, destruction of civilization, jealousy, envy, underhandedness, graft, pessimism, snobbery, exclusionism, and hoodlumism. They want to play God.
Evil people hate people who are characterized by freshness, love of life, goodness, gratitude, generosity, openness, empathy, faith, hope, love and concern, innate talent and ability, knowledge without structured schooling, effectiveness in the absence of degrees and certificates, productivity, human kindness, big heartedness, magnanimousness, grace, optimism, fertility, virility, potency, and peace.
People who hate Sarah Palin, not for herself, but for what she stands for — the positive factors which leaves the world a better place to live
They’re led that way by a media and DEM establishment that’s SCARED TO DEATH by a woman with kids AND a career — that’s not theirs.
Most Libs are led by Harvard graduates (and a smirking Keith Obermann, now), and they love that about Obama, so much so that it matters little that’s he’s done nothing, re-invented himself, laid waste to the Clintons simply by cashing the check the Dems have used in taking Black America’s support for granted for 45 yrs — and you can’t expect to media to DISSECT him, point out that his persona is all about his Kenyan bio-dad (yet he never went to visit his grandma there, until ‘05 went he was declared AND had written a fluffy book about him claiming to be black), yet his step-dad that put a roof over his head for 12 years, and his mom’s is ignored at the DNC and all-around? I read of a $47mil boondoggle for patronage, using education to get public grants he’d written - and Ayers RAN the program. Where’s THAT?
Instead we get Palin’s wardrobe (and not Obama’s?).

I hate Palin because we have only known her for 7 weeks now and she has not presented herself very well. She is an arrogent, nasty, vicious lying deceptive woman. I wouldn’t leave my children with someone I only knew for 7 weeks. Why on earth should we elect her to such am important job when we’ve only had 7 weeks to judge her charecter?

Whether you agree with Gov. Palin or not, she has never done anything to deserve the hate she has received from many on the left—including many of those that comment on this blog. The irrational reaction of the Palin haters just proves how unwilling they are to treat fairly, honestly and respectfully anyone they disagree with. They did it with Reagan, Bush, McCain (who many democrats actually liked until he ran against Obama), Palin, and whatever conservative comes next regardless of who they are. Political discourse will never improve, nor will people of different political philosophies come together so long as people insist on behaving in such a dishonest, hateful manner.
All you accusing Obama of socialism and/ or communism really need to educate yourselves about what those terms mean. Your ignorance reminds me of Sarah Palin

This class warfare tactic has been Barack Obama’s main theme throughout his campaign. The same approach used by socialist throughout history—from Karl Marx to Hugo Chavez. In fact, Karl Marx posited that socialism would be achieved via “class struggle”. Karl Marx also said “From each according to his means, to each according to his needs.” Kinda sounds like Obama when he told Joe the plumber that he wanted to take more of his taxes to “spread the wealth”, doesn’t it?
