Despite utter failure that was 2001’s Glitter, Mariah Carey is giving acting another go in the indie flick Tennessee.
Playing it safe, Mimi plays an aspiring singer who joins two brothers on a journey to mend fences with their estranged father.

Like Madonna, Mariah is too much a narcissist to ever be a good actress. To be a great actor you have to reveal ALL, turn yourself inside out so people can see who you are. Mariah is entirely too self aware and it shows on screen. She appears “put on” rather than coming from a real organic place. Her facial features are wooden and unremarkable without all the photoshopping. Plus she just doesn’t
have “Real Flesh” on film.
