After putting little Suri to bed, the All My Sons actress joined pals John Lithgow, Gayle King, Jessica Seinfeld and hubby Tom Cruise at a private party at the Hermes Boutique in New York City last night.
Staying true to their matchy-matchy nature, the couple otherwise known as TomKat rocked very similar navy blue suits. While Tom stayed classic, Katie jazzed hers up with a vest and pinstripes. Her smoky eye makeup and pink lip color brightened up her sans jewelry looks. She is still managing to keep her short hair looking good while going through their growing phase.
While partygoers sipped on cocktails and nibbled on hors-d’Å“uvres at the soirée celebrating one of the last real luxury brands in the world, one Hermès invitee was conspicuously missing — the company’s heir Mathias Guerrand-Hermès. He’s currently embroiled in a legal battle after he allegedly grabbed a pilot by the crotch during a drunken altercation on an Air France flight from Paris to JFK.

That suit is totally mundane. Had Katie done something different under the jacket, instead of the matching vest, vest, it would have looked more stylish. But three matchy-matchy pieces with some heels and no jewelry? Big huge fucking snoozefest. In other words, Katie’s usual style–a complete lack thereof.

I just saw Katie tonight on Eli Stone and she was too adorable! I have such respect for her as a mother and actress. On the other hand Gayle King is one of the most annoying people on earth. She loves the sound of her own voice more than anything and never shuts up. If you have the unfortunate luck of hearing her radio show you’d know what I mean. Between her and Oprah I don’t know how either gets a word in edgewise. Seriously they are two of the biggest yappers.
