Reformed bad boy Colin Farrell opened up about his recovery from drugs and alcohol on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, calling it a “massive life change for me … someone who was drunk for 15 years, high for a good few as well. I just cut that out of my life.” He added: “It took a while. It’s not a very comfortable place to be in after you’ve been out of your mind for a good while.”
As for pity? No, thank you! He doesn’t want it. “I mean at the end of the day of course the smallest violin wouldn’t or shouldn’t play for me because I had a lot of fun and a lot of good times… I hate to go on about it but … I was just lucky enough with support from various people find a way out. I’m very grateful.”
