Shawn Corey Carter, a.k.a. rapper Jay-Z, dined out at Katsuya restaurant in West Hollywood late last night.
After filling up on some overpriced Japanese food, the Jiggaman was kind enough to sign autographs for a few adoring fans before driving off in his chauffered Escalade.
Jay was out celebrating his special concert in honour of the reopening of the Hollywood Palladium.
The Palladium, which once hosted the likes of Frank Sinatra, was reborn after a $20 million renovation.
Joined by crash survivor DJ AM, the duo were reportedly in their element scratching, rapping and flashing hand gestures throughout the set. After Jay performed his song Show Me What You Got, he called on the sold-out audience to “make some noise for DJ AM tonight.”
The night didn’t go by without any political swipes. Jay dedicated 99 Problems to Republican presidential candidate John McCain, suggesting he should follow the song’s advice when it comes to his running mate and “homegirl … you know, ‘You Betcha!’”

Now, if I were a business owner, I would have a meeting with my employees. In this meeting would be a chart showing what will happen under a McCain administration, and what would happen under an Obama administrtion. I am not telling you who to vote for, but look at the difference in jobs created (McCain) and jobs cut (Obama). Which one would you like to be?

The only problem is that economies don’t really work that way. Job creation and the real sources of wealth generation have never and will never come from government taking money from some people in order to give it to others. (ROBIN HOOD)
Think about it: most people’s income in America comes from having a job. A few of us run businesses large or small and, and even fewer of us are the truly “wealthy†who don’t have to worry about money at all.
But for most of us, our daily bread comes from having a job. And Barack Obama’s tax plan is a direct assault on the job creation on which our well-being depends. Because, like it or not, no check from the government can possibly replace the paychecks on which we rely. And in general the healthier the business we work for is, the healthier our paycheck is likely to be.
Obama’s “Robin Hood Economics†is based entirely upon the idea that taking money from job creators and giving it away to preferred groups will somehow “spread the wealth around.†That’s simply bad economics. In reality, taking money away from the small- and medium-sized businesses that Obama counts among the “wealthy†will hobble the engine of job creation and ultimately hurt our own income.
It might be nice to get that government check in the mail, but the price we will pay is fewer jobs, slower economic growth, and less investment and innovation in the economy. That’s what you’ll get by raising taxes on the so-called “wealthy.â€
Obama hopes that we’ll notice the nice check we get in the mail, but fail to notice that over time job and wealth creation have slowed in our economy, making us all less well off.
Creating jobs and wealth takes incentive, risk and expense.
But there is no incentive to get better educated, start a business or invest if I can just ask Obama to use force(guns) to take if from others who took the risk and expense.
A job doesn’t come from investment, a job IS an investment. Anyone who tells you differently is a fool, a liar or both.
Then, if you want someone from harvard - - Please DEMAND that Obama OPEN up his FILES at HARVARAD and SHOW US that he even went.
