While the 46-year-old rocker clearly has an endless amount of affection for his high school sweetheart, there’s only one lady Jon has no love for: Sarah Palin.
He’s mad at the Republican VP candidate for using his band’s song, Who Says You Can’t Go Home, at her rallies.
Bon Jovi joins a list of musical acts including Heart, Van Halen and the Foo Fighters that are mad that their songs are being used at McCain-Palin events.
Per TMZ:
“We are surprised to hear that our song, “Who Says You Can’t Go Home” was used by the McCain campaign at rallies yesterday and today. We wrote this song as a thank you to those who have supported us over the past twenty-five years. The song has since become a banner for our home state of New Jersey and the defacto theme song for our partnerships around the country to build homes and rebuild communities. Although we were not asked, we do not approve of their use of ‘Home.’”
As FYB reporter earlier, Jon recently threw a dinner at his home for Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama. Each plate went for $30 800.

Right on John!!! Sarah Palin and the republicans are finished!!! Obama 08′!!!!!!
You sold the rights to your songs—They are allowed to use them. So STFU.
Jon Bon should be happy that anyone cares to listen to his tired ass Jerseyfied music.
STFU and keep cheating on your faithful wife, loser. your music sucks.
WOW…..I’m glad all you people are so familiar with Jon Bon Jovi that you are so quick to assume the worst of him. And by the way…..his music is as valid in 2008 as it was in the 80’s, even more so. If you would take a minute to do a little research on all the good that the man and the band are doing with their “celebrity” maybe your words would be a little less harsh. I’m not an Obama supporter but absolutely a Bon Jovi supporter!

Even Joe the plumber and Jon Bon Jovi are giving the republicans the middle finger! HAHA
Social Irresponsibility, and recklessness are difficult to support

SAD SORE Republicans: “your music sucks” only if it does not work for them, like everything else…Using others for their own profit only until they don’t get something in return Go for egotistical values, and ECONOMICAL RECKLESSNESS

Show me where the McPain campaign responded with “you sold the rights to your song”? Because Bon Jovi DIDN’T. Yet another lie from McPain. When you down and out, all you can do is lie, lie, lie. Pathetic. OBAMA 08!!!!!
Gee, I wonder what victory song they’ll play on Nov. 4????? I cannot wait.
jon bon jovi has always been open that he’s a democrat and supports obama… so why would republicans even want to use his song?
he sold the rights to his song but does that mean EVERYONE can use it? if someone were to make a movie, can they put “who says you can’t go home” in the movie or on the soundtrack without asking him?
Selling the rights means that song in question can not be used by the original artist again, for example the movie “A Nightmare Before Christmas.” Now, an artist may give their permission for others to use their song, but the agreement is more favorable to the artist. If the song is used without that permission then it is an infringement of the copyright laws that we are all familiar with. Know your facts.
Ehmmm…..i dont know what this is……
Listen to Jon,Mr.Mccain,Jon’s cool…:D
Kindof of the point here,but….
IS JON’S HAIR BLONDE????????? :O
YESSSS..if it is…!!
