The intimate black-and-white mini movie is quite a depature from her previous efforts. It’s less weaves and ass and more honesty and passion.
She really shines here. Even her attempt at acting works.

I really like it. Nice concept (haven’t seen it done before) and thoughtful message… to be honest I paid more attention to the video than the actual singing. But the times I tuned in, it was pretty decent.
I’m not a huge Beyonce fan, but I have to say that I really like the song and I think the video is creative. I appreciate that she is attempting to do something different. She could just do crazy in love over and over again but instead she is showing growth as an artist. Good for her.

This is the first Beyonce song I’ve REALLY liked. Great job. Love that she’s not flaunting her body for a change. She’s got the talent to not have to do that! Jess - this song is NOT about wanting to be a boy! It’s about not wanting to be taken for granted, the way many men do their wives (maybe Jay-Z???).
