Flanked by security, Michelle Obama was seen leaving the Time Warner Building after taping an appearance on Larry King Live on Wednesday.
During the one-hour interview, the First Lady wannabe opened up about an array of the current headlines polluting your newspaper.
Here are a few highlights of the more juicier topics that were discuss.
Michelle on whether she was offended when John McCain called Barack Obama “that one” during the presidential debate: “No. No. I have to say that, you know, in these debates, I am so focused on what Barack is saying, you know, and how he is, you know, phrasing his words. And I’m really trying to listen to the substance of what he’s saying to make sure that I understand what’s going on that these little, you know, sound bites don’t register with me. A lot of times I’m looking around at the faces of the undecided voters in the room and I’m trying to see how they’re reacting.”Michelle on whether the two candidates dislike one another as has been reported: “I can only speak for Barack. And I know that Barack has the utmost respect for Senator McCain. He’s said so on so many occasions. You know, I think this has been a long, tough fight. And politics sometimes leads to things said between the candidates. But again, what we’ve found is that people are really focused on who’s going to — who’s got the vision that’s going to take us to the next level.”
Michelle on Cindy McCain being quoted by The Tennessean as saying that Barack ‘is running the dirtiest campaign in American history’: “Well, it’s just not true. You know, it’s a simple reaction. It’s not true. And when something is not true, you don’t take it to heart. You just keep rolling along. I think — I’ve been so proud of the way that Barack has conducted himself in this campaign. You know, I think he’s one of the smartest men that I know. And he’s able — what we saw in that debate — one of his many gifts is to be able to take really complex issues and make them real for people and explain them in a way that doesn’t seem condescending or disrespectful. I don’t think Barack has that kind of bone in his body. That’s not his instinct. And his campaign doesn’t reflect that. And quite frankly, Larry, you couldn’t be in politics if you, you know, didn’t have a thick skin. You know, there are people who say things. It’s not — this race just isn’t about me and Barack. It’s about something bigger.”

What a class act and classy lady!! I saw her and Larry King and she was fantastic!! Obama 08′!!!
I was very impressed with her!! Scholarship to Yale and than Harvard Law!!! That’s the kind a people we want leading us!! Not some jerk off hill-billy shit kicker like Bush. I don’t want to have a beer with the president, I want him to be sharp and brilliant like Mr. Obama. John McCain is a good man but not nearly in touch with today and frankly way too old. Mr. Obama is the American Dream. Give me the guy who won scholarships to Harvard and graduated first in his class not someone who was nubmer 136 out of 140 at the naval academy. Mr. Obama is will lead us to the future and that we can be sure of!!
the woman was all class during the interview. even if i tried, i wouldnt be able to keep my cool like michelle and barack have. the republican party has made some really offensive and outlandish claims. the fact that they havent flew off the deep like (much like mccain has and does often) shows that theyre just good people. i would have popped a cap in mccains ass months ago.
I loved her outfit. Hate to bring up the Jackie O thing, but she is definitely a style icon in the making.
Barack is cuter
cool..
just that she says “you know” a lot.
She is so impressive and so down to earth.
That’s the FIRST LADY. Smart, Intelligent, Lovable and No hating. Unlike Cindy McCain, like her husband are fault finders instead of staying on track. I LOVE this woman.
Finally, we can bring class and intelligence back to the White House.
Used car salesman.
If it is clean and shiney - no one looks under the hood.
Beware, of Used Cars people.
Though she even stated that she is “Proud to be an American for the first time of her life”!
And you all still praise her?!
OMG, You people are blind
I laugh at the Jackie O comment.
Jackie O was a first class lady….This woman is not.
Watch It.
Yeah, First Class…Pft
I wrote an email yesterday regarding the DEm Black Caucus refering to Palin as racist because I disagreed with it and now I feel compelled to write here as well. I am a lifelong Democrat, I have supported Obama since the beginning, even against Hillary, who had anyone else been running I would have voted for. I said yesterday, that instead of calling people racist because they question your past, just own up to it. If you are a radical, then just say it and people will respect you for it. I have searched online thru many different sites and the truth hits you smack in the face. Obama WAS friends with all of these people, AYers DID appoint him to sit on two boards with him, Ayers DID launch Obama’s political career in his living room, and they DID work at ACORN and Project Vote. Obama also DID write the forward for Ayers book. These are all in plain black and white. The most disturbing thing I’ve heard is that Obama’s spokesman said that Obama DID NOT KNOW about Ayers past as a terrorist. That’s the one that gets me the most because either Obama was too naive to have not known something that EVERYONE in the neighborhood knew and talked about or he used him for pure political reasons. Obama said also at the last debate that he wrote a letter warning about sub prime loans. I thought - okay good, this makes me feel a little better. I searched online the next morning and there it is in b lack and white, released by the MCCAIN campaign, and OBAMA’S NAME IS NOT ON IT! Obama, I supported you in the primaries and I rooted for you in 2004, I’ll vote Democratic on every other issue but the presidential. The only Rep I ever voted for was Reagan, I’ll have to add Mccain to that list. I don’t appreciate being labeled a “racist” because I have questions, and this whole Chicago past reminds me of the Sopranos on TV!

and this is whom you all want in office…………….interesting to say the least.
McCain and supporters are rumor mongering and pathetic. If they can’t win by being better, they try to win by stirring the sh*t pot until the water is so murky that STUPID people can’t figure out what they’re doing (talkin to you “off topic” p.s. you never voted Dem in your life and you know it). Tried and true behavior for the past 15 years. But the good news is that enough of the country has woken up to the scum sucking tactics and are saying no. NO to the extreme right, NO to the religious right, NO to the elitist rhetoric, NO to LIES and NO to McCain.
^^^^ You Rock!!!
^^^Why, thank you very much.
It’s like this, most of us are just bitter Bible thumpin’, gun totin’, stupid hicks that don’t know no better.
I agree with you… you beat us 2 to 1. You have 2 flaming Liberals on your ticket; we have only 1 plus Sarah P. Ain’t she great?
I can tell from your rhetoric that you are really P.O.’d about the attention your team is getting. It sort of reminds me of the time not long ago when you were attacking Palin for giving birth to a living baby. And then you attacked your family. Oh, wait, you are still attacking her family.
Face facts, numbnuts, your team is full of commies. Truth hurts.

Sarah’s Pompom Palaver
By MAUREEN DOWD
WASHINGTON
I had hoped I was finally done with acting as an interpreter for politicians
whose relationship with the English language was tumultuous.
There’s W.’s gummy grammar, of course, like the classic, “Is our children
learning?†And covering the first Bush White House required doing
simultaneous translation for a president who never met a personal pronoun he
liked or a wacky non sequitur he could resist.
Poppy Bush drew comparisons to Warren G. Harding, whose prose reminded H. L.
Mencken of “a string of wet sponges. … It is so bad that a sort of
grandeur creeps into it.†When Harding died, E. E. Cummings lamented, “The
only man, woman or child who wrote a simple declarative sentence with seven
grammatical errors is dead.â€
Being mush-mouthed helped give the patrician Bushes the common touch. As
Alistair Cooke observed, “Americans seem to be more comfortable with
Republican presidents because they share the common frailty of muddled
syntax and because, when they attempt eloquence, they do tend to spout a
kind of Frontier Baroque.â€
Darn right. And that, doggone it, brings us to a shout-out for the latest
virtuoso of Frontier Baroque, bless her heart, the governor of the Last
Frontier. Her reward’s in heaven.
At Sarah Palin’s old church in Wasilla, they spoke in tongues. Maybe that’s
where she picked it up.
Hillary Clinton and John McCain ran against Barack Obama by sneering that
their prose was meatier than The One’s poetry. Sarah’s running against the
Democrat’s highfalutin eloquence by speakin’ in homespun haikus.
We could, following her strenuously folksy debate performance, wonder when
elite became a bad thing in America. Navy Seals are elite, and they get lots
of training so they can swim underwater and invade a foreign country, but if
you’re governing the country that dispatches the Seals, it’s not O.K. to be
elite? Can likable still trump knowledgeable at such a vulnerable crossroads
for the country?
Did Joe Biden have to rhetorically rush over to Home Depot before Sarah
could once more brandish “a little bit of reality from Wasilla Main Street
there brought to Washington, D.C.?â€
With her pompom patois and sing-songy jingoism, Palin can bridge
contradictory ideas that lead nowhere: One minute she promises to get
“greater oversight†by government; the next, she lectures: “Government, you
know, you’re not always a solution. In fact, too often you’re the problem.â€
Talking at the debate about how she would “positively affect the impacts†of
the climate change for which she’s loath to acknowledge human culpability,
she did a dizzying verbal loop-de-loop: “With the impacts of climate change,
what we can do about that, as governor, I was the first governor to form a
climate change subcabinet to start dealing with the impacts.†That was,
miraculously, richer with content than an answer she gave Katie Couric: “You
know, there are man’s activities that can be contributed to the issues that
we’re dealing with now, with these impacts.â€
At another point, she channeled Alicia Silverstone debating in “Clueless,â€
asserting, “Nuclear weaponry, of course, would be the be-all, end-all of
just too many people in too many parts of our planet.†(Mostly the end-all.)
A political jukebox, she drowned out Biden’s specifics, offering lifestyle
as substance. “In the middle class of America, which is where Todd and I
have been, you know, all our lives,†she said, making the middle class sound
like it has its own ZIP code, superior to 90210 because “real†rules.
Sometimes, her sentences have a Yoda-like — “When 900 years old you reach,
look as good you will not†— splendor. When she was asked by Couric if she’d
ever negotiated with the Russians, the governor replied that when Putin
“rears his head†he is headed for Alaska. Then she uttered yet another
sentence that defies diagramming: “It is from Alaska that we send those out
to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia,
because they are right there.â€
Reared heads reared themselves again at the debate, when she said that
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac “were starting to really kind of rear the head of
abuse.â€
She dangles gerunds, mangles prepositions, randomly exiles nouns and verbs
and also — “also†is her favorite vamping word — uses verbs better left as
nouns, as in, “If Americans so bless us and privilege us with the
opportunity of serving them,†or how she tried to “progress the agenda.â€
Poppy Bush dropped personal pronouns and launched straight into verbs
because he was minding his mother’s admonition against “the big I.†Palin,
by contrast, uses a heck of a lot of language to praise herself as a fresh
face with new ideas who has “joined this team that is a team of mavericks.â€
True mavericks don’t brand themselves.
Oh, and may I add: NO to cowards. McCain and his lipstick wearing pitbull can try to smear a good and decent man all they want in t.v. ads, but McCain’s too much of a coward to utter the lies to Senator Obama’s face during a debate because he knows Obama would use him like a mop and clean the floor with him.
Obama has shown his decency and class throughout McCains lame (ooh, McLame) attempts at smearing him. If McCain will act this way to get the job, how will he act once he has it? This country has has endured public humiliation on the world stage long enough. It’s time for decent people to stand up and say NO to the indecent behavior of people like McCain and his pitbull.
Obama personifies the ‘Narcisstic Elitist’. Narcissists have a gnawing fear inside of them - their fear of inferiority. They try to validate self by attacking and belittling others wisdom, knowledge, values or belief system.
This was quite obvious during the 1st debate where Barack Obama repeatedly referenced his own rhetoric in an attempt to discredit John McCain.
Barack Obama would say, “I have stated…” or “I have always said…” in response to John McCain’s speaking about the McCain experience.
Narcissists expect everyone to recognize their ‘Superiority’ and give them the special treatment they so richly deserve - not because of skill or what they have accomplished – but because of whom they are.
Barack Obama believes his very presence solves problems and relieves pain.
Barack Obama has great disdain for those who do not see his “special†abilities and uses those who believe in him – like tissue to be disposed of when no longer needed - he throws them ‘Under the Bus’.
Barack Obama and his ‘Cultic Followers’ already know the truth, so facts are not only unnecessary, but bigoted statements.
Some famous narcissists are Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Saddam Hussein, Idi Amin, Pol Pot and Mao.
Narcissists are intelligent, yet emotional wrecks. They are deeply disturbed people.
Barack Obama has set himself extremely high goals. The Obama goals always have to do with domination, power and respect.
Barack Obama regards and treats other people as objects to be exploited.
Barack Obama uses others to obtain narcissistic supply. He believes that he is entitled to special treatment because he harbours these grandiose fantasies about himself.

The narcissist has no self-esteem or self-worth of his own.
In the absence of observers, the narcissist shrivels to non-existence and feels dead. Hence the narcissist’s preying habits in his constant pursuit of Narcissistic Supply. Pathological narcissism is an addictive behavior.
Since a narcissist isn’t acting on normal human premises, since all he is doing is playing you for the reaction he wants, truth is irrelevant. Truth or lies — it’s all the same to him. Whichever works. Usually that’s lies.
Narcissists are different in that they are never themselves. They identify with their image instead.
The Narcissist has to be the center of attention and will do anything to get that attention - lies, truth, demeaning remarks - especially towards anyone who others respect or get more attention than they do.
Malignant narcissism is perverted self-love. In fact, it isn’t really self-love. It’s self-hatred. The person “suffering” from Narcissim hates himself and loves his IMAGE instead.
He makes it look good the easy way — by making others’ images look bad by comparison. That makes him a predator on the image of everyone around him. Everyone.

Anonymous 10:37: WILL YOU MARRY ME? (oh, wait, I’m a woman. will that be legal if mccain wins?) THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for the article. The folksy bushsh*t that panders to the lowest common denominator is being continued by this idiot woman who can’t string together a cohesive sentence. The saddest part about that is that the wingnut right UNDERSTANDS that crap and thinks that her ignorance means she’s like them. Well, she is. But she’s no more qualified to run this country than they are.
The best part of that article is asking since when did being intelligent and eloquent become a bad thing? When bush hit the White House is apparently the answer.
#20: That article shows exactly what is the problem with republicans showing their worse judgement by Glorifying Palin’s stupidity: putting her foot in everybody’s mouth, and is all so friendly and so extremely reckless!
John McCain is dead. Statistically speaking, John McCain is dead. He has outlived the average white American male. Now, you tell me: What happens to this country when that statistical probability becomes a reality during the next four years?
What that will mean is that the republican machine that has been running this country for 8 years will rear it’s ugly head and by 2012, the United States of America will cease to exist in any meaningful way. We will have been sold to the highest oil-producing nation for record profits, our military will consist of the few who haven’t been blown up and spread all over the world in misguided “foreign policy” decisions, our banking industry (a/k/a our government) will have dropped their CEOs on their own private island with their golden parachutes, we will not have social security, medicare or any welfare system and the richest republicans will be looking down at us all from their ivory towers.
That, “my friends,” is John McCain’s America.
I’ll tell you what I “fear”: I fear a smooth-talking lawyer who promises the moon while lifting your wallet. I “fear” someone who professes his belief in “civil rights” while using his army of believers to shout down anyone exercising their right of free speech, and who threatens litigation against anyone who speaks the truth, and who has the documents to prove it. I “fear” anyone running for public office who won’t make their academic and other records public, despite Freedom of Information Act requests. I “fear”.
If you believe that “things will be better” under a President Obama, you are either as deluded as he has long hoped you would be, or else he has promised you a job. Because those people seem to do well. While everyone else gets screwed.
Oh, and by the way, I don’t need McCain and Palin to tell me that
Speaking of scum:

Obama the narcissist:
.
.
.
Just because you know how to copy and paste and intelligent bit of writing, doesn’t mean you have a clue what any of the words mean, nor how they are applied.
.
Just because Obama is extremely intelligent and well-read doesn’t make him a narcissist. You’re just used to the rampant ignorance of your (dying) party and can’t recognize true intellect for what it is. Altruism. Look it up.
What about those “real issues” that Barack Obama’s supporters in the media say we should get back to, whenever some new unsavory fact about his past comes out?
What about Senator Obama’s position on this real issue? As with other issues, he has talked one way and acted the opposite way.
The education situation in Obama’s home base of Chicago is one of the worst in the nation for the children– and one of the best for the unionized teachers.
And you think that is good, Okay.

WAKE UP!
NEWSFLASH: Americans do not want negative campaigning. Duh! All you Repugnicans can spew all your lies and hatred cloaked in racism all you want but you cannot dispute the ELEVEN point lead that Obama has on the Repugnicans. No amount of words will change that because the majority of the American public believe that Obama is the best man to lead us out of this crisis. Boo hoo for you. If you don’t like it, move out of the country. Buh-bye losers.

What you should fear is an ignorant woman who can’t string together a cohesive sentence. What you should fear is a mindless drone who took 6 years and 5 colleges to barely get a bachelor’s degree in a worthless major with below average grades. What you should fear is a man (?) who chose a woman running mate solely because she looked good on paper and would bring in the right wingnut christian conservative ignorant vote. What you should fear is a man (?) who is so completely power hungry that he would make such a running mate choice and thereby put this country at risk of being run by this ignorant hillbilly when he loses the battle with statistics.
.
.
That, “my friend,” is what you should fear.
Common sense is not easy to cover up with half ass conspiracy theories and a half-brained bimbo: the only republican substance in this campaign.
Obama, like congressional Democrats, also wants to regulate the Internet, the only other medium in which the right does well, via its influential bloggers.
The means here: something called “network neutrality.” Neutrality, if enacted, would give government overseers at the FCC the power to ensure that Internet providers treated equally all the information bits surging across the Web’s “pipes” - its cables, fiber optics, phone lines and wireless connections.
This measure makes zero economic sense. Broadband providers want to manage more actively - and thus profitably - those information bits. They’d like to offer, for instance, new superfast delivery for sites or users willing to pay more (not unlike how FedEx speeds delivery of packages for a fee), or other new services such as online video or telephony.
Network neutrality would render all that illegal. But why, then, should broadband investors keep building the Web infrastructure needed to keep pace with surging use? Where’s their financial incentive?
Yet if that infrastructure isn’t in place soon, the vast amount of data pouring online will begin to slow the Web to a crawl, many experts believe. Needless to say, neutrality also will be a gold mine to telecom lawyers, who’ll have their hands full figuring out what constitutes “digital discrimination.”
I hope Obama does win, just for we can serve you crow on paper plates.
You have shown us all, that you would buy a used car without checking under the hood first.

This woman has a chip on her shoulder a mile wide. She’s obnoxious.
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is the first national candidate ever to hire ACORN, a controversial non-profit accused of voter fraud across the country, to conduct get out the vote activities for his campaign.
Obama’s campaign paid $800,000 to a subsidiary of the liberally-leaning non-profit Association of Community Organizers for Reform called Citizens Services Incorporated campaign to help increase voter turnout.
This information, however, was not properly disclosed to the Federal Election Commission. The Obama campaign said it hired CSI to do “polling, advance work and staging events†according to reports submitted to the FEC during the Democratic primary.
The FEC said the Obama campaign needed to disclose ACORN was engaging in get out the vote activities last August. At the time, the Obama campaign called the mistake a “clerical error.â€
ACORN has been accused of voter fraud in 15 states this election cycle.
Obama has close ties to the organization. Before becoming a member of the Illinois State Senate, Obama represented ACORN in a lawsuit to help push for “Motor Voter†laws to make it easier for low-income persons to vote.
Later, as director of the Woods Fund and Chairman of the Board of Chicago Annenberg Challenge Obama helped steer funds to ACORN through various grants.
Obama sought ACORN’s endorsement in the Democratic primary telling ACORN members, “Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work.â€
“Project Vote†is the name ACORN’s voter registration drives are called. Obama worked for Project Vote for a period of roughly seven months in 1992.
ACORN endorsed Obama for president in February 2008.
BLAH, And Blah still nothing different that pointless acusations
