“She is extremely excited right now,” a source close to the star tells Us.Richie, 25, shared the good news with her mom Brenda, and close friends like Mischa Barton, in early May, adds the Richie pal, after a pregnancy test came up positive.
And the pregnancy isn’t the only cause for celebration.
A source says Madden, 28, along with a few friends and his twin brother Benji, recently went shopping for an engagement ring.
If Nicole is indeed pregnant, it will definitely mean a change in her lifestyle. No more wild parties. And now she’ll be eating for one — not zero. Also, a pregnancy could be a sure-fire ‘get out of jail free card’ to stop her from having to serve any hard time. Except if she gets Paris’ mean-old judge.

not that i am wishing this on her but i honestly don’t think that it will be carried to term (i.e. she will miscarry).

Doesn’t she have a DUI trial coming up? I think she might be doing this to avoid jail time. Her charges are way more serious than Paris Hilton’s.

I smell bullshit. This is just a stunt she will use to avoid jail time, and then she will conveniently claim she miscarried when all is said and done, even though there was never any baby to begin with. *Sigh* If only Paris had thought of this “brilliant” plan…

Hmm, yeah I’ll believe it when I see its little emaciated body. It is indeed a brilliant manoeuvre, though. I think Nicole’s the smart one of the celebutard set.

Brilliant and soap opera worthy, Nicole! Brava! But can she produce a fake positive pregnancy test for the judge? Because, his Honor is are not just gonna take your insincere little word for it. Not to mention, plenty of pregnant chicks at Lynwood. But I’m sure a mocked up lab test with “Nicole Richie” printed up top won’t be too expensive for Mr. Madden’s girl. Can’t wait for the tragic miscarriage Us weekly cover 6 weeks from now, complete with a new round of speculation about her “health” and near-death carriage.
