After attending a slew of runway shows during Paris Fashion Week, it appears fashion maven Marion was inspired to shop until she drops.

She’s really cute. I’ve yet to see La Vie en Rose, but it’s somewhere in the 30s on my netflix queue ;o). The only movie I saw with her in it was A Very Long Engagement (watch it!!).

BTW: the pedestrian type of french is pretty dowdy…i don’t think doll up is a mundane thing for most french…Architecture, that’s the real thing…probably the city makes every body look a bit more elegant. The dressing up in a daily basis is more of a norm in Italy or Spain.

Marion is never wrong. Uggies are the best for walking on concrete, and worn barefoot. The interior cools the feet in summer and warms them in winter. But this is a woman whom we all respect for going her own way, taking the least-worn path. So let’s don’t get all overwrought when she wears the shoes she wants to, when the wants to, in any city she wants to. And remember what she said in the December NEW YORK TIMES video interview: “It’s all just a matter of energy, really. If you don’t want to be recognized, you can hide.” I suspect those who think all the French dress to the teeth to walk about anywhere have not yet been to Paris. What one sees there is a breezy individualism; that’s what makes walking in Paris so much fun. And she LIVES there; she’s not a tourist. What do you wear when you go shopping in your hometown? Give the icon a break. We all know she can look top-of-the-list glamorous — when SHE wants to.
