After weeks of online voting, Eminem was crowned the planet’s top MC in a tournament-style contest.
On the mag’s website, fans began voting on over 50 of today’s best rappers in head-to-head matchups in July, with MCs gradually being eliminated until Eminem was tapped as the ultimate victor this month, beating our fave Jay-Z.
Slim Shady managed to nap 69% of the more than 920 000.

Eminem is amazing but I think J’s body of work is much more vast yet intricate than Em! He has a long way to go to be on J’s level.

He definately deserves it. He’s a huge complainer and some of his lyrics are a bit offensive but some are insanely clever and his freestyles leave Jay Z for dead. Jay Z just says the same old crap all the time. What has happened to Eminem?? Last I heard of him he’d put on a ton of weight or something…

Em is the best by FAR. Jay has his own style and is an amazing business man, kayne is innovative but em is the total package!
