Chatting with a very sympathetic Fox News today, Sarah Palin says she was “annoyed” with the way Katie Couric handled their interview and complains that the CBS Evening News host failed to give her the opportunity to attack Barack Obama.
Claiming she was in a lose-lose situation, Palin says: “The Sarah Palin in those interviews was a little bit annoyed. It’s like, man, no matter what you say, you are going to get clobbered. If you choose to answer a question, you are going to get clobbered on the answer. If you choose to try to pivot and go to another subject that you believe that Americans want to hear about, you get clobbered for that too.”

What all she’s good at is attack attack and more attack?!?!? Doesn’t have a stand on her own? Or she’s too afraid to answer the questions because she’s afraid she will get attack??? I don’t understand this woman.
So if I go on a job interview do I get to decide what questions I can be asked? If they ask me about my job expereince but I want to focus on my education, do you think the employer gives a flying fuck? she is essentially on a job interview for the American public. The media is not supposed to be a vehicle for her to say what she wants to say. They are supposed to ask the questions that are necessary for the public to find out where the candidates stand on important issues. The media’s kid glove treatment of the Bush administration is to blame for a lot of the crap that went on with them. I cannot stand this woman.
Sarah Palin has learned the republican motto for everything; blame the liberal media. Except the problem with that is that the media really is not liberal because all the media entities are owned by rich republicans.
Luella, you nailed it!
What will she say if she ever becomes a president and people ask her how will she fix the problems the country is facing??? “Oh my god, I’m like, so, annoyed… I mean, I will do everything I can of course to make our country a great country, so quit asking me already, cause I’m like… So annoyed already” Gosh, she’s a joke. She’ll make more money not winning though, the whole world knows who she is now…. She can go do something else, and don’t f%Ck with my country.
What is she going to do when she’s sitting across from Putin and he rears his head with tough questions? Wine like the annoying bitch she is?
Oh, no, Ms. Palin… you wanted to talk about the REHEARSED SCRIPT that you had prepared. It’s not about Katie’s questions, it’s about the fact that you can’t answer them. You should be able to answer ANY of Couric’s questions with authority and command… which you most definitely did not. Ditto for last night’s visibly coached and prepped performance. You’re not fooling anyone, whiner.
Shame on Katie Couric for asking questions that the American people want answered. Doesn’t she know that Sarah only wants to answer those questions that she deems appropriate and then she wants to attack Barack Obama. As I watched the debate last night all I could think was that I could not imagine her carrying on serious negotiations with anyone. She is incapable of answering substantive questions and continually falls back on talking points and scripted ones at that. To anyone considering voting for this train wreck, seriously ask yourself if you feel safe knowing that she has the nuclear, or as she would say, nucular, codes. If that doesn’t scare the hell out of you then nothing will.
Palin talks to his crowd of non defiant believers simple words that make tangents, gentle empty words that repeat the republican populist gospel of demonizing taxes for creating some sort of public entity…who is taking care of the mess they with their regulation made: The PUBLIC TAX FUNDS! No EVEN ONE MAJOR RICH PLAYER in the republican base has made a move to cover the mess
Civic duty does not go further than demanding foreign wars, interfering with women privacy and rights, discriminating against people by their gender, sexuality and even race.
Followers of republicans easily ignore all this facts, and adore Palin as a golden cow, not even questioning the danger their putting all the rest of us in.
Palin is an idiot.
3. “Sarah Palin has learned the republican motto for everything; blame the liberal media. Except the problem with that is that the media really is not liberal because all the media entities are owned by rich republicans.”
Don’t be ridiculous. The vast majority of supposedly “impartial journalists” are admitted democrat voting liberals. Their bias has never been more obvious than during this election cycle. Even Hillary Clinton’s campaign has recognized this Obama-favored bias.
http://www.mediaresearch.org/biasbasics/biasbasics3.asp
“RepublicansOut”, to hear you complain of Palin’s “empty words” is hilarious, given the notoriously empty rhetoric of your man Obama. Obama’s themes of “Hope” and “Change” are the most chiche, overused slogans in political history. As recently as 90s Clinton campaigned as the “Man from Hope”. Nothing but bumper sticker slogans devoid of substance. Even more ridiculous are your accusations against conservatives of “discriminating against people by their gender, sexuality and even race.” The only candidate that has mentioned race in this election is Obama. And the only candidates that supports hiring someone or admitting them to college based on the color of their skin are Obama and Biden. That is racism. Get your facts straight.
So to use sound logic adhering to reality is to be biased according to republicans
Only FOX appeals to the lowest intellectual standards to “inform” its very mediocre audience, thus it is the truly republican outlet for misinformation and cohesion of the half trues, the tangents, the superficiality, the empty moralism and the science behind parallel reality that supports the Republican mentalityn truth. Yeah Fox is “objective”!! Like war is peace, failure is victory, and coruption is waealth!
Bea: you are lonely in your arguments, and totally unaware of your own party policies: Ignoring gay rights IS discrimination!
Afifrmative action in not racism!! Come on, to state this proof on how far right you are. If you think promoting policies for minorities in colleges is wrong and racist, there you have! Up is down and social causes are evil! You have choosen a path: individualism first, social responsabiliy is for suckers, capitalism should not have any sort of regulations, whomever is poor deserves it, and Palin is a true hero for the republican cause of destroying all the means civil engagement: TOTAL BARBARISM! I do think is a waste of time to expect you to follow what I’m saying.
Bitch Please … sit your ass down. I’m so over this chick. After Nov. 4th hopefully I’ll never hear from her again. She has some nerve to blame her lack of knowledge on Katie Couric. Bitch be gone!
#3 Luella……….I agree with everything but the dislike part. I’m no longer impressed by her as I was BEFORE McCain plucked her. I knew about her long before and although it wasn’t extensive knowledge, I still thought she was personable. She’s perfect state government material, and perfect Alaska material. She is not however potential President of the United States of America material by any stretch of the imagination.
“RepublicanOut”, Your willfull ignorance of fact is obscene. FACT: The majority of journalist are self-described democrats. http://www.mediaresearch.org/biasbasics/biasbasics3.asp Of course Fox News leans to the right. But no more than NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, CNN, NYTimes, LATimes, Washington Post, etc. lean to the left. Rational people understand this. Unlike yourself, the majority of Americans (democrats included) recognize media bias. But don’t take my word for it. http://www.zogby.com/News/ReadNews.dbm?ID=1262. And spare me your lectures of moralism, superficiality and honesty. No one has been caught in more outright lies in this campaign than Barack Obama—about his positions on Iraq, taxes, Fannie Mae, Jeremiah Wright and on and on. Go ahead, try to prove me wrong. YOU CAN’T and you know it. And you want to talk of superficiality?! Obama owes his entire success to superficiality. Do you honestly believe Obama would be the phenomenon he is with his tired, overused talk of “hope” and “change” if he looked like Joe Leiberman? No rational person believes that. Not one. Even rational democrats admit this. You’re a joke “republican’s out” and you’re drowning in your own intolerant ignorance.
14. “Republicans out”, let me explain something painfully obvious to rational people, but clearly oblivious to you. Allowing the color of someone’s skin to take precedence over merit and accomplishment is RACIST. When an asian student with a 4.2 GPA is denied admission to the college he dreams of attending in favor of a black student with lower qualifications simply because he has the wrong skin color, this is RACIST. That is how affirmative action works and it’s wrong.
In regards your pathetically inadequate argument against free-market capitalism, you’ve glossed over an important FACT. It was republicans that tried to institute regulations to reign in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It was democrats that voted against regulations. Why? Because Obama adviser and Fannie Mae CEO Franklin Raines, who btw was forced out on corruption charges and made $90 million in just 6 years paid dems off. In FACT, Barack Obama got more money than any other politician during his 3 years in office. But again, don’t take my word for it. Watch the C-Span footage. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MGT_cSi7Rs&eurl If democrats had any ethics they would take responsibility for their culpability in this financial crisis. Again, don’t take my word for it. The FACT is, Democrat Artur Davis said, “Frankly when it comes to Freddie and Fannie, we (democrats) were wrong.” Unlike you “republican’s out”, myself and most Americans don’t believe money that I earn for the benefit of my family should be given to the chronically irresponsible. You can call that “Total Barbarism”, but your absurd definition of individual liberty says more about you than the me. Get a clue.
I love how people blame affirmative action on some people not getting into top tier schools. Like the only requirement you need to enter college is to be Black. The same people who are so anti-affirmative action seem to be not so versed in legacy. You know legacy, the way that under-qualified whites get into Ivy league schools. No one is blaming George W for going to BOTH Yale and Harvard and still being unable to but a sentence together. No one is yelling how W took a seat from a poor Asian kid. I mean that number of un-qualified legacy cases trumps affirmative-action cases any time, any day.
Bea, do you have a problem with George W getting into Yale and then Harvard business school cause everyone knows he was an average to below average student. Didn’t HE take somebody’s spot who was more deserving? Or do you think legacy clauses are perfectly fine? Obama is where he is based on superficiality you say. We all know Georgie boy is where he is based on who his daddy is. Affirmative action for the rich and white is the American way, for minorities it’s socialism bringing the always more deserving white race down. You stupid rednecks think your white skin makes you like the aristocrats in the Republican party. You’re all too fucking stupid to see they are using you and your bigotry against minorities to keep THEMSELVES rich and in power. The truth is you have no potential and they know it. They need you to fight their cause against equal opportunities for minorities so that they can maintain their wealth and status with no competition from talented prospects. You have no creditbility, shut the fuck up numbnuts.
Godiva, great minds, lol.
Bee please get your facts straight. Stop blaming Democrats for everything. I seem to remember the country was fiscally sound and actually had a surplus under President Clinton despite the fact that democrats just love to spend, spend. However, what happened under Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2 — hmmm, we are in debt. Of course the Republicans had nothing to do with that. God forbid republicans actually take responsibility for something. Republicans are the ones who deregulated the financial institutes — now that we are in deep Sh*t people no longer want the invisible hand of Adam Smith, now the tax payers have to pick up after Wall Street sorry as*.
Luella baby!
Damn girl! You nail it on the head EVERYTIME!
You’re my new favorite girl crush-you go girl-you tell ‘em!
.
Republicans like Bea fight the liberals due to a strong hold of fear on any change. Not Justice, not equality….no! mere fear on change.
Every case mentioned by her is either totally exceptional or follow a faulty and totally UNFAIR logic of taking for one self what one deserves by who’s right? Market? Money? Race?
For example : “Didn’t HE take somebody’s spot who was more deserving? “.
“He”</i? is Obama, and somebody more “deserving” was a white student, in case Obama was in school ONLY by merit of Affirmative Action…This is supposed to show how evil Obama is!!? I mean, when you think the market has to regulate ONLY access to education -this is wealth- in favor of the ones that have the advantages, it states how biased you are. OF COURSE YOUR GONNA BE ISOLATED FROM MAIN STREET WITH THIS SORT OF “ARGUMENTS”, of course the only media will air such logic on how things should be is your beloved “objective” FOX NEWS. Keep bringing your pearls of wisdom and profound, YES PROFOUND BIGOTRY so we can be reminded why republicans should be OUT! If you are a radical, you’re gonna find your self behind the biggest shit-whole in America’s history and in a lonely place surrounded by your friendly bigot republicans. It is amazing and so telling to se a map of the USA and be able to locate all this WISE REPUBLICAN PEOPLE living in remote areas, with barely some higher education, and thinking civil rights is to hold on to your guns.
NO WAY, NO HOW, NO MCCAIN!!
Why attack
Obama … Why not talk about your own problems like getting your
17 year old daughter married before the baby is born.. And stop handing off
your son to your youngest daughter at the debate..
19. Your argument is childish. You excuse one unfair system that rejects one student/job applicant and favor of another lesser qualified applicant based on skin color by mentioning another unfair system. Affirmative action and legacies are both wrong. There’s no excuse for treating people differently because of their skin color, Godiva. None. Only children excuse their bad behavior by pointing out someone elses. Grow up.
20.”Obama is where he is based on superficiality you say. We all know Georgie boy is where he is based on who his daddy is.”
I agree. We all know that Obama wouldn’t be where he is if he looked like Joe Leiberman and George W. Bush would not be president if not for his father. Nor would Al Gore have been VP if his father wasn’t a senator or Hillary Clinton a Senator if she weren’t married to Bill Clinton. I’m glad we can agree on something.
20.”You stupid rednecks think your white skin makes you like the aristocrats in the Republican party.
Comments such as yours prove who the truly bigoted among us really are. No wonder you support racial preferences. BTW, I’m not even white. Something I haven’t felt the need to mention until you started spewing hateful racial slurs, because race shouldn’t even be an issue.
20. “You have no creditbility, shut the fuck up numbnuts.”
Ah yes, censor what you can’t refute. Unlike narrow-minded bigots like yourself, “Luella”, I welcome diversity of thought and challenges to my point-of-view. But you stick with your bigotry, hate and namecalling. Clearly you’re uncapable of anything more substantive. No wonder you’re an Obama follower.
Bea please expalin to me why it is ok to question Obama’s relations with ppl who may be unsavory (i.e. Rev. wright), yet, we have yet to hear anything about Sarah’s church and their hateful message toward jews as well as America? Why the issue has not been made about her uneducated husband’s affiliation with a separatist group who wish to secede from the USA (Obama was condemned as unpatriotic because of his former pastor’s comments.) This woman’s husband, the man she shares enough with to be married to has no once been asked by the “liberal media” about any of these things. If the media seems like they favor Obama, its because Obama has been open and willing to talk to Americans so they hear it straight from the Horse’s mouth. Hillary suffered the same fate when she too thought she was beyond talking to the media. In a day and age where technology is a part of almost everyone’s life, you can not deny information (which we can find out on our own, the internet is great and wide) and then cry when not so good things are reported about you.
Most importantly any human being with half a mind will tell you Barack Obama has deserved the accollades as he has worked extremely hard to accomplish his goals. You have no way of knowing whether Obama got into Columbia and Harvard because they needed to fill the spot with a black kid. How do you know this? Speaking of education, tell me again where McCain and Palin fall on your education barometer? Their education put together does not even come close to what Obama has accomplised in that regard. Its really amazing that you will sit here and hold up a half illiterate ticket which has provided no solution for the problems we are facing. Yes Obama speaks of hope and change, but guess what? Any good leader will garner the support of the people that matter first, and encourage them to believe in something better something different. And he has done so with that message of hope and change. He started with the likes of those who had no reason to believe in a black man standing for anything than what you obviously believe (which is nothing), I first heard about Obama from a farmer in Ohio about this man who is promising change. Your republican counterparts (and hillary), thought being white would be enough to win this thing. And whether or not you realize it, Race is a factor. And people like you prove this to be true every day with your arguments about Affirmative Action. I guess your whole point was to say Barack Obama got where he is because the White man handed him a bone. Have you forgotten the Primaries, the votes mattered. He was chosen by the people. And the same people will choose him on November 4th. Sara Palin was picked by one person, an old man who has judgment issues.
Today I was in a rural part of VA and was met by hostile people like you. They have obviously been thinking logically about this election but can’t seem to get passed the unspoken underlying issue (he’s black). I met one man and his wife who were republicans it was obvious, the wife was voting McCain and the husband could not reconcile voting for this man. He said ‘he’s got great ideas, but I’m not voting. I won’t vote for McCain, he’s the same thing as Bush, but I won’t vote’ i appreciate this man because he was honest, wrestling himself about what to do. What I don’t appreciate are the fools who will listen over and over to McCain and still tout him as some proven leader. Did these people watch Palin last week, and did they watch her not answer any relevant questions at the debate. They saw her speak in coherent sentences and got excited again. But what did she say? Nothing. Bea, tell me what Palin said that makes McCain the best choice for this country. Now unless your IQ is also below average, I doubt you can put something logical together re: what she and McCain will do for you and your kind.
lila, I don’t agree with the comments of the guest speaker at Palin’s church and I. That said, the reason this hasn’t been as big an issue as Rev. Wright’s hateful sermons is simple. Jeremiah “Goddamn America” Wright was Obama’s spiritual mentor and close family friend for TWENTY YEARS. The man who made the comments at Palin’s church was a guest speaker and spoke there only ONCE. Even Abraham Foxman, national director of the Anti-defamation League said he saw “no evidence” that Palin espoused the guest preacher’s views. http://www.rjchq.org/Newsroom/newsdetail.aspx?id=ee7f61fa-1a9b-49bf-8164-b140348da1e0
Barack Obama however, knew that Wright preached racist “Black Liberation Theology” when he began attending the church and chose to stay at that church for two decades until just recently when it became no longer politically expedient to do so. And your assertion that the media’s pro-Obama bias is merely the result of some sort of “willingness to talk to Americans” not shared by the other candidates is absurd. The reason the media displays a pro-Obama bias is because the overwhelming majority of them are (gasp) pro-Obama. Chris Matthews doesn’t get what he described as “a tingling sensation running up [his] leg” when he hears Obama speak just because Obama is “willing to talk to Americans”. I’m sorry “lila”, but that’s just silly. Look lila, just one of these abhorrent Obama frienships and associations could be overlooked. But the fact that he has so many extremist associations including Wright, Phleger, Rezko, ACORN, Ayers, etc. is more than coincedence. It’s only fair to conclude that someone with so many radical associations would also share the same warped thinking.
lila, you’ve completely misstated my position regarding Obama and affirmative action. I spoke out against his support for affirmative action. I never said he benefitted from affirmative action, though you might be interested to know that Obama himself that he may have been. And you just sound ridiculous that you accuse me of making race a factor by arguing against affirmative action—a program that itself makes race a factor. The very thing I argue against. As i’ve said before, I’m not a big fan of McCain or Obama, but Obama’s naive ideas regarding the economy and foreign policy are terrible. Furthermore, his lack of honesty and duplicity on multiple issues makes him completely untrustworthy. You don’t reward irresponsible behavior and punish responsibility and success. What Obama fails to understand are the destructive and unintended consequences of his naive socialist ideas—the best example of which is his historical support of subprime lending. BTW, even JFK recognized that you don’t raise taxes to increase revenue. Question for you lila. Why do you support Obama? I mean specifically. Don’t give me cliche talking points like “change” and “hope”. What is it that you think he’ll accomplish that’s good for the country and how will he do it?
Bea, Rev Wright was a spiritual advisor to every presidency since the Reagan administration. Google it. Why was it such a big deal for Obama to have any connections to this man when other presidents have sought council from him? What with all his hate speech for atleast 2 decades. I also didn’t hear you explain Sara Palin’s husband’s involvement with a separatist organization. Why have one standard for one person and another completely different and contradictory for the next person?
While you complain about the media being pro-Obama because they personally support Obama is complete nonsense. So journalists can not be individuals? They’re also citizens you know. They will also cast a vote. But it is also their job to provide the public with information. Were they pro-Obama when they dragged/and continue to drag him through the mud when something questionable arises (i.e. Rev Wright, Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, Ayres etc.)? No I don’t think so. And unlike Faux news, these media outlets always have representatives from both parties to state their case. They actually let them talk instead of rudely interrupting when a guest starts to make an opposing point a la Fix news. Whether the public responds to each side equally is not the job of the media. They are not telling individuals how to think. If you think they tell you how to think, I would have to conclude you only have two brain cells and would recommend you to try researching topics for yourself.
And if you were truly objective, you would have noticed the media’s restraint when it comes to criticizing palin. They have been bullied to the point where any questions asked of her “have been filtered,” How can every question have been filtered for the media to only show the bad answers. That was 3 nights worth of bad answers. Whether or not Palin or her supporters realize it, She is beyond daft. And talk about naive. There’s your candidate.
Obama and the notion that he is naive is something that the “Obama loving media” put out there a long time ago and has been echoed by all and any who don’t like the guy for whatever reason. Raising taxes (for businesses and the wealthy is a proven tactic. Check out Clinton’s plan and how it left us with a surplus and new jobs. What has cutting taxes afforded us during the Bush tenure? Please tell me. Because if I know my current events, we are in serious debt and 159,000 jobs have been lost in just September This will actually bring me to answering your question: I believe in Barack Obama and will vote for him because it is already apparent that the world respects him. If there is one thing that can help to restore America’s standing in the world, it is a new approach to Foreign relations. We can not always be the bully, flexing muscles even where its not needed. What Bush (and McCain would follow suit) did was basically say, I’m boss of the world. Whatever I say is what goes. We can’t relate to the world in that manner anymore. I travel a lot (europe, Latin America, Africa..) and since Bush has been in power, its like we are a laughing stock. When you have respect, you have power. Its not enough that we are militarily strong, and can afford to fend off enemies. These are reinforcements. If nations respect us enough, we might not have to commit (Sara Palin) to defending Georgia because they would have actually heeded to our warning.
One last point. Affirmative action benefits mostly women. White women. Google it. It was not put in place to place unqualified black people in positions which would otherwise go to deserving individuals of another color. I think the previous responses to ur comment about this have been sufficient.
Not gonna lie, the way she talks and her accent make her sound slow!! lol
