FEEDING THE NEED FOR ATTENTION

Newly legal Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were their usual courteous and media-friendly selves as they stepped out for an afternoon of sushi, sashimi and sake yesterday at Malibu hotspot Nobu.
As a herd of flash-happy photogs surrounded the pint-sized twins, MK and Ash tried to cover their faces with their keys, phones and jewelry as they entered the A-list eatery.
A futile attempt for privacy, to say the least.

i don’t get why they do this, just say hi and keep going, smile do something! your keys won’t hide your entire face! get it straight!

^ i disagree. if it’s a large key, they certainly can hide behind it. or a toothpick.

Why did they go to Nobu, if they didn’t want to be photographed?

well kelly-ann … perhaps you’re not familar with malibu but it’s a tiny community & the only decent restaurant in Nobu … the rest are cafes / informal restaurants … everyone who lives in malibu makes a pilgrimage to nobu & as m-k & ashley are renting a beachouse for the summer in malibu then it kinda makes sense … & also, not many photogs are out in malibu unless they’ve followed someone out from west l.a or unless it’s a slow day in west hollywood, bev hills, santa monica etc…
