Im getting sick and tired of your biased “reporting” here.
If your gonna attack one, MAN THE FUCK UP and attack both.
To listen to the MSM, you would think Sarah Palin will come out on stage tonight in St. Louis wearing overalls and sporting a piece of straw shooting out of her ears. The idea that Pailn is “dumb” is being hammered relentlessly in the media to the point that people are actually starting to believe it.
This will backfire tonight when Palin comes out and shows herself to be, if not as informed on foreign policy issues as Biden, certainly his equal in intelligence and quick wittedness. And given the fact that there is a huge audience expected for this debate, one wonders what the voters are going to think when they realize the media and the Democrats have been lying about Palin’s innate intelligence.
If I had a dollar every time a liberal called a Republican candidate “stupid†I would be wealthy beyond the dreams of avarice. Eisenhower (dumb, incoherent), Goldwater (crazy and stupid), Ford (dumb jock and a stumblebum), Reagan (dumb actor), Quayle (can’t spell potato), Jack Kemp (dumb jock), George Bush (dumb playboy). The harsh truth is, the personal attack works when you have the press and other media (think Saturday Night Live riffing off liberal talking points for Ford, Reagan, Quayle, Kemp, and Bush 43), buttressing and playing to that exact same argument. It is a potent combination and only the basic good sense of the American voter has saved the GOP from being shut out entirely over the last 50 years.
The problem isn’t so much with what Palin says but how she says it. She is unfamiliar with “Washington speak” - double talk in spades that allows a politician to get out of tight corners with the media. But like her knowledge of foreign policy - which is a mile wide and an inch deep - Pailin will learn the ropes once she makes it to Washington.
Given her intelligence, I predict she will be a quick study.
In the 2008 election, one of these ruling myths is “Sarah Palin does not have the experience to be vice-president.”
Well, let’s stomp that one flat right away: out of all four candidates, Sarah Palin is the only one with any of the requisite executive experience required for office. She is the sole candidate who has ever run anything larger than a college debating society. If she is not qualified, none of them are, and we’d better dump ‘em all and start over.
The value of having been a governor is obvious, the progression from there to the presidency apparent. Not so with senators. Whatever it is they do when not traipsing around Washington in their purple-trimmed togas, walking their pet ocelots while the Vestal Virgins strew rose petals in their path, it has nothing in common with executive experience. Typically they get out of law school, work awhile as lawyers, go on to local or state office, then to the House, then to the Senate. At no point do they run anything larger than their own offices. The governor of the smallest state or territory in the union easily trumps them on that score. Often, that’s all that’s necessary. After his Three Stooges first term, the only edge that Bill Clinton had on Robert Dole was his gubernatorial experience. That was enough.
Only one person in this race has ever held that kind of responsibility. Only one person has ever actually run a government. Only one person has the necessary experience, and that is Sarah Palin. Yet thanks to a media as obtuse as it is vicious, this undeniable record of experience has been thrust aside in favor of the myth that at least two of the senators in the race — Obama and Biden — possess superior experience.
The last point involves the question of success. Wasilla, the town of which Palin served as mayor, increased its population by 2,000 — nearly a full third — under her stewardship. Not bad for a hockey mom.
Experience is not simply a matter of duration, but what you do with the time you have. Palin accomplished more in that year-and-a-half than most governors do over full terms, including facing down a corrupt and entrenched old-boys network and bringing the oil companies — the state’s biggest business — to heel.
OK, now that either “adam” or “Harley” has posted their false and utterly stupid comments, we all pretty much know that Palin is an utter utter idiot and the team of McPain is sinking faster than the economy. You can write all the excuses you want but you nominated an old senile man who can’t tie his shoe much less steer a campaign. Then he picks Palin who makes Dan Quayle looks smart as a Hail Mary to attract women. News for you, women are not idiots but the Repugnicans, McCain and Palin are. As Paris HIlton loves to say … buh-bye bitches.
Liberals ;
are just a waste of human flesh
Just what we need in a leadership position in this country: Another f***ing moron who doesn’t even read. Just like her hero George Bush.
Face the facts: John McCain is already statistically dead. He has outlived the average male in this country. We can’t afford to take the chance that we will succumb to the statistical possibility that SHE will be running this country.
Call her anything you want, except capable of running the United States of America.
“It’s not that she doesn’t know the answer. It’s that she doesn’t understand the question.”
Only1: OH MY GOD! Where on earth do you get your “information?” I certainly won’t call that pile of tripe “facts” because you not only did not make one true statement (Palin is a lying, power-abusing, good-ol-boy), but you’re doing the only thing you can in this situation: Lie your ass off like the rest of the republicans and hope no one notices. You all think that if you lie constantly, the democrats will have to spend their time putting down the lies and not have the time to prove they are best to lead the country, ala swift boat. Well, news flash, liars. We’ve finally figured it out and so has the rest of the country. The grand old party is just a bunch of sad old white people who can’t find another way to line their pockets anymore.
And by the way anonymous @ 10:07 you IGNORANT F**K: Your is your. You’re is you are. You people shouldn’t be allowed to vote (or breed) if you can’t spell).
Loves me some Letterman. And Joe Biden is going to wipe the floor with that idiot smug bitch Sarah Palin.
“It’s not what she says, but how she says it? ” What are you smoking?!? She is ignorant: doesn’t reach newspapers, newsmagazines or books. It took her 6 colleges to get a bachelor’s degree. Her biggest claim to fame is that she is (was) attractive and that got her where she is and everybody knows it. It was a NOVELTY to have someone who didn’t look like Madeleine Albright run for office. She is no more qualified for veep than that little blonde Miss South Carolina Miss Teen. In fact, Little Miss S.C. and Palin are only a few hair color shades away from being the same person.
“I’m sorry. I got lost in a blizzard of words. Was that a yes?”

oops: READ newspapers.
“Idiot smug bitch Sarah Palin.” Pretty much sums it up. Does anybody remember Sarah Palin’s response to the question about whether Barack Obama should have chosen Hillary Clinton as his running mate? “I bet he’s regrettin’ not picking her now.” Well, honey, you have pretty much single-handedly brought down the Republican ticket. “I bet he’s regrettin’ pickin’ YOU now!” And, annonnnnn you are 100% correct in your assessment, “You all think that if you lie constantly, the democrats will have to spend their time putting down the lies and not have the time to prove they are best to lead the country, ala swift boat. Well, news flash, liars. We’ve finally figured it out and so has the rest of the country.”
LOL I luv Dave’s show xD
I feel bad for Palin *sort of* it’s gonna be painful yet wonderful to watch her crash and burn in that
debate with Biden…
It didn’t take the Karl Roveian brainwashed “sheeple” long to weigh in on the first few posts here…
You people are laughable at your defense of one of the most uninformed people in modern political history. Lipstick on a pig? No. More like lipgloss on a George Bush.
There’s nothing wrong with scrutinizing Palin, but why not hold liberal politicians to the same standard? And that goes for commenters on this blog as well as celebrities. Why not hold Biden to account for lying about being shot at in Afhganistan and plagiarizing the speaches of other politicians? Does that show good ethics and judgment? Or how about holding Obama accountable for his crusade to force Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to give out more subprime loans several years ago? The very loans that started this financial crisis we’re in? Or why not question his intelligence when he claims to have visited 57 states and thinks we need more Arabic translators in Afhganistan despite the fact that they don’t speak Arabic? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting he isn’t intelligent. All I’m saying is that had a republican been guilty of these things, your reaction would be completely different. Have an open mind. Don’t be so blinded by your own bias.
I would also add that the litany of hateful, childish insults hurled at Palin (bitch, whore, fucking moron, smug bitch, idiot, etc.) says far more about the character, mentality and intelligence of the people spewing them than they do Palin. Obama really attracts a high caliber of human being, doesn’t he?
During the ‘88 election, Biden did what most politicians do on a regular basis, which is quote other individuals. While on the campaign trail, Biden had frequently quoted British Labor party leader Neil Kinnock and gave credit him. After the speech that ultimately lead to his withdrawl, he remembered he forgot to credit Mr. Kinnock, but no one thought it was such a big deal, because he had done that [gave Kinnock credit] many times before. While I admit, Biden has had other incidents, anyone can forget to give credit when nervous or pressed for time or running on auto-pilot. Also, politicians lie or mislead on a regular basis, but I think when I compare someone not remembering the incident correctly (or flat out lying about being shot at- however you want to look at it) versus lying about WMD in Iraq, I think Biden’s comments don’t really compare at all. And, every candidate in this election has issues to overcome, but Ms. Palin does not have what it takes to be one step away from the Presidency. She may be able to ramble off some common talking points and phrases on major issues, but when straying away from these issues, she becomes incoherent. You can think whatever you want about Barack Obama, but when the media jumped over Bristol Palin’s pregnancy, Barack Obama was the first one to say people’s families, their children in particular are off-limits. You can bet if the situation was reversed and Barack Obama’s daughter was pregnant, Republicans would be all over it. If you say it ain’t so, you ain’t telling the truth. B, PLEASE!
17. Malady, you’re being intellectually dishonest in your argument. While it’s true that most politicians “quote other individuals” they don’t make it a habit of plagiarizing other politicians and stealing biographical facts from their lives. What Biden did was more serious than simply forgetting to provide attribution. He inserted his name into the speech in place of Mr.Kinnock, the British politician he plagiarized, and in the process lied about his upbringing and past. He did this more than the one time you claim. In fact, he made a habit of it, plagiarizing John Kennedy and Hubert Humphrey as well. He also got into trouble for plagiarizing while in college. Clearly this isn’t a one time incident. But while you seem so willing to offer up excuses for Biden (nervous, pressed for time, running on autopilot), you conclude that Palin must just be too dense for public office. And I noticed you conveniently ignored my other examples. As for “lying about WMD”, your double standard is showing again. Why not hold democrats up to the same standards you hold Bush? Bill Clinton, John Kerry, Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, and virtually every other intelligence agency in the world that proclaimed that not only was Saddam a “grave threat”, but he was pursuing WMDs? Again, hold liberals to the same standard you hold conservatives. And if you do, you’ll have no choice but to call for the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac fraudster CEOs to receive the same punishment that the Enron and Tyco CEOs received. This includes Obama advisors like Franklin Raines, who left Fannie Mae with over $90 million in just 6 years and democrat Jamie Gorelick (yes, the same Clinton administration Gorelick that allowed 9/11 to happen by preventing the CIA and FBI to share info). I trust, as a fair-minded individual, you’ll hold all the dems responsible for this financial crisis to account, as well as the many democratic congressmen and woman such as Barney Frank that maintained there was no looming financial crises as they blocked efforts by Republicans to regulate Fannie/Freddie. As for the media jumping over Bristol Palin’s pregnancy, you completely miss the point. Had it been a democrat, the media would’ve never behaved so despicably to begin with in regards to Palin’s family in the first place. All I’m asking is that people hold liberals to the same standard they hold conservatives. Oh, and here’s a video you’re not likely to see on the Huffington Post, where you no doubt receive most of your indoctrination. No fair-minded person can watch this and not realize who deserves blame for this financial crisis.

Sarah Palin is one big ball of verbal diarrhea. She is also a smug and sarcastic bitch. You’d think a person so utterly unqualified and uninformed would have the good sense to not be such a hateful bitch to her opponents who are heads and shoulders better than her in every possible way. But no, she’s a pitbull in lipstick and an arrogant asshole. The remarks she has made about community organizing and Joe Biden’s respectable time in the Senate are so unseemly. Ugh, can’t watit til this bitch’s 15 minutes are over and she’s back in Wasilla shooting baby wolves out of her ebay jet.
19. Luella, you call Palin “a big ball of verbal diarrhea”, a “smug and sarcastic bitch” and an “arrogant asshole”, but according to you she’s the “hateful bitch”? Your projecting, Luella.
