Said RDJ: “In case you aren’t aware I had a hell of a summer, and it’s made me much more viable to play a lead role than I might have (been) in the past.”
When asked what he could bring to a character portrayed countless times on film and television, he joked: “Clearly I’m going to do it better than it’s ever been done.”
Meanwhile, director Guy Ritchie said the flick will be his biggest movie “by a long shot” in terms of budget. No numbers were given but producer Joel Silver did mention that the budget had not been affected by the current financial crisis.

RDJ can do no wrong… I’ve always rooted for him and love all his movies.
I can’t wait to see his latest!!
This should be really good!! Robert Downey is a great actor and Guy Richie is good fit for this movie as well.
Awesome! I didn’t know he was going to play Sherlock!! He will kill it!! Almost a perfect role for him!!
What shoesize does she have? 48?
of course the female co-star has to be 15 plus years younger then her male counterpart, how hollywood.
Love, love, love her shoes.
he looks way better in a tux ;D just saying lol
for some reason I always thought Sherlock was English… is he? cool if he’ll have an accent
Oh God no. No one can, or will ever be able to, do it quite like Jeremy Brett. The Sherlock Holmes films have always been some of my favorites growing up. And yes, Sherlock was London-based.
.
I hate Hollywood :o(. They can never leave well enough alone.
Ok…that is not the best look ever! LOOK at his shoes! OMG!! embarising! I would not be seen with him…Iron Man or NOT!
