Palin has held an over-80% approval rating as a Governor for well over a year now, according to the Anchorage Daily News. If I want to hear if a company does well, I listen to its customers. If I want to know if a politician is doing well, I listen to his or her constituents. Celine you should know that the all of the coverage and investigations into her questionable behavior in Alaska has led to her approval rating dropping considerably in Alaska. It’s probably true that most Alaskans didn’t know that she charged rape victims for their rape kits, most of her appointments are friends from high school including the head of the Agriculture Department who listed her childhood love of cows as a qualification for the job, most people now know that most of what she said in her speech at the convention was untrue (bridge to nowhere, selling plane on ebay, etc.), her affiliation with a witch doctor, her husband’s association with a secessionist group, and the list goes on and on. The problem with selecting a VP without fully vetting the person is that you allow others to find out the information that you neglected to discover. Republicans should be outraged that McCain chose a woman who cannot name another Supreme Court case other than Roe v. Wade and a woman who gives up mid sentence when she is asked a substantive question. I agree with an earlier comment that she is going to doom other women’s chances in the future. All of the Republican women who cheered her nomination should be outraged that McCain chose someone merely because she was attractive to the base without a thought to her capabilities to govern.

Its time to let go of all the Republican vs. Democratic political alligance. Both parties have their flaws, obviously! If we as citizens spent more time bettering ourselves as a people we could probably make more progress at solving our own problems. Because honestly, at this point, regardless of who wins the presidency nothing much is going to make a truly positive change until we put our personal perspectives and differences aside, and start embacing America as the true diverse melting pot that she is. I’m currently reading this book by Dale Carnegie titled, “The Leader In You” and it really changed my perspective on this whole economic crisis. There’s an excerpt about how after we A-bombed Japan and completely annihilated their economy. They still united, and slowly but surely reconstructed to become the strongest technological empire in the world. SO HOPE IS STILL ALIVE! We just need to take our eyes off of the mess thats distracting us, and focus on GOD because he obviously trying to tell us something.

I actually never heard her talk until a few minutes ago. I saw Tina Fey SNL clip on youtube and thought it was amusing and then……..when I saw the real Sarah, I could not believe the similarity! The fact is Bush inherited a recession from Bill Clinton. This is historical record. Then of course, 9/11 dealt the economy another blow. You can’t blame either of these things on Bush.
