Dennis Quaid ain’t taking allegations that he’s a cheater lightly.
As you may recall, ex-wife Meg Ryan talked about his old unfaithful ways with InStyle magazine. While speaking of her affair with Russell Crowe at the end of her marriage that made huge news, Meg told the magazine: “It was a great story. But what wasn’t in the story was the reality of my marriage for nine years. Dennis was not faithful to me for a long time, and that was very painful. I found out more about that once I was divorced.”
Now Dennis has hit back in the New York Daily News:
“It was eight years ago, and I find it unbelievable that Meg continues publicly to rehash and rewrite the story of our relationship,” the actor tells us exclusively. “Also, I find it regrettable that our son, Jack, has to be reminded in a public way of the turmoil and pain that every child feels in a divorce.”
Quaid, who went on to marry real estate agent Kimberly Buffington and have twins last November, adds: “I, myself, moved on years ago and am fortunate to have a happy, beautiful family.”
So much for taking the high road!

Sounds like Quaid is bothered that he can no longer play the victim.
He self rightously played it up well when the story of Meg and Russell came out.
I applaud Meg for brining out the truth about Dennis.
I agree. Notice he didn’t deny being a cheating dog. What a piece of shit. He let her take all that heat knowing he had driven her to whatever action she took to comfort herself. Men are all piece of shit. Can’t live with em, can’t live without em. *sigh*

Dennis Quaid is a nasty piece of work — drank and drugged and fucked around on Meg Ryan for years but was perfectly content to sit back and let her take the hit when she’d finally had enough. I understand he’s screwing around on wife No. 3 now.
So Dennis is all whiny that son Jack is painfully reminded of his parent’s divorce when his mother talks about his Quaid’s inability to keep his pants zipped?
How about the pain the kid feels when dear old Dad crows about how he’s moved on and now got himself a “beautiful, happy family”?

Quaid didn’t even bother to bring son Jack along with his new “happy beautiful family” for a vacation in Maui earlier this year which also coincided with Father’s Day weekend. Nor did he ever mention Jack’s name in interviews given during his stay there. (He was there to receive some kind of an award) So please spare us the all of a sudden being concerned about your son’s feelings. Also, how do you think Jack felt by your statement that if your twins had not made it “I never would have had another happy day in my life.” Gee that should have really made the kid feel great to know that his half brother and sister are the only children that can bring happiness into your sorry life..
The way Quaid has reacted to Meg’s finally revealing the truth speaks volumes. He is guilty as sin and is more concerned about what kind of effect it is going to have on his career than on their son.
He’s an ass and she’s obviously still hurt. Good for her to clear her name.
I know I’m going to repeat what’s already been said, but here goes. He’s a scumbag. He let her take the hit eight years ago and he played the victim and had his career revived as a result. Meanwhile, she was publicly branded a cheat and Russell Crowe was branded a homewrecker. For decency’s sake he could have said then that he also cheated, had substance abuse issues and the marriage wasn’t working. Instead he let her take the fall and he’s lucky that she didn’t take him down years ago. He’s the one who couldn’t handle being married to a woman who was more successful than he was.
He said that he had substance abuse problems and he said that he understood why she left him for russell crowe. He even took her back when Crowe send her home. But of course - he must be a pig, she is everyones sweetheart, she can’t do wrong, can’t she?
Great response from Dennis. I completely agree with him. Even if he did cheat on her it was so long ago and I don’t see any other reason Meg would speak out about it now than for publicity. I hate anybody who airs their dirty laundry to magazines. Dennis has taken the high road and the best revenge is the fact that he has moved on and is happy with his family. Meg just sounds bitter with what she said.
