Tina Fey reprised her role as Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live, again appearing as the Republican vice presidential candidate in an opening sketch.
If you missed it, you must watch — it’s pure genius!
This time around, Amy Poehler played CBS’s Katie Couric, parodying the interview with Palin earlier this week.
Our favourite line? When pushed to specifically discuss how she would help facilitate democracy abroad, Tina’s Sarah Palin gave in saying: “Katie, I’d like to use one of my lifelines. … I want to phone a friend.”

Wow, they’re both really funny. Although I don’t really understand what they’re talking about as I’m Australian and I haven’t seen the real interview. The Russia thing is hilarious.
can republicans really stand up for this woman anymore? like what does she have to do for republicans to throw in the towel when it comes to palin? does she have to rob a bank? the woman is an idiot who is not capable to handle the job. the end.
And here the Americans thought the butt of the joke is going out of the office in January, and here comes the other half of the asre. No wonder comedy thrives in US as tragic as it might be for her citizens.
Good help my country if she and McSame are elected.
ooh, so borders = experience…hmmm i see
I have yet to see SNL pick on Obama. that would be fair and unbalanced right there
ashleigh, SNL can’t help it that out of all of those in the race Sarah is the gift that keeps on giving. Why do you single out Obama when there’s also been no parady of McCain or Biden either? No one’s picking on Sarah Palin unless of course you don’t think she can handle being put in the spotlight like the other three mentioned. Why should anyone cut her a break? If you’ve seen the Couric interview you’d see that sadly, the skit didn’t have to stretch much on content. If anything, the woman has gotten kid gloved treatment to damned long.
this is getting old.
For parody to work, it has to be based in truth. You cannot accused either Obama or Biden as scared to face the media but where has Palin been hiding? She won’t do press conferences and limits her interviews to just THREE in the last month. Seriously, when somebody asks you a question on national TV, you don’t reply that you will “get back to them” with the answers. If this is our potential next President when we have two wars going on and the biggest national financial crisis since the Great Depression and all we get is “I’ll get back to you”, then all of you people “protecting” Palin are total idiots.
If the election wasn’t so serious, I would laugh a lot more. As it is, I don’t know if my husband and I will be able to afford my oldest daughters college after this semester.
ashleigh………..here you go. See, your girl Sarah isn’t alone.

Biktoria Veckum……………………no, it’s not getting old at all. Since McCain and Crew keep her on a short lease and on lockdown, anything that helps shine more of a light on how she handles things is a good thing and since Tina Fey didn’t need to add much to it, I say keep them coming. Even prominant conservatives who supported her at first are saying the woman should step down.
politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/09/26/palin-should-step-down-conservative-commentator-says/
The real interview was just as comical. In fact, one of the answers Tina Fey gave was EXACTLY as Palin answered it (words just flowed without any sense to them). The woman is way in over her head and anyone voting for Mcsame and her because they were gonna vote Hillary should really think twice. This woman is not even in the league that comes before the Hillary’s league; let alone any one of the candidates on the tickets. I was insulted as a woman when she was picked and am further insulted that McCan’t picked this person to present to the American people as a viable candidate. America can not be so stupid as to believe this woman deserves to be anywhere near the White House or any decision making-body when it comes to the nation as a whole. Leading a state with less than 700,000 people, maybe, But not a nation of 300,000,000+. And for those of you who like to throw the experience card when it comes to Obama, I have one thing to say: just look at their backrounds. She does not even come close! More over, Obama doesn’t make Bush look like a Pulitzer Prize winning scientist when he opens his mouth. She does! Hence, the jokes..,
SARAH PALIN IS A DISASTER !
hey, adam and harley…where are you now? not supporting your candidate!
sad thing is it’s not as funny as the real interview!
i’m right here.
and yea, i’ll support her instead of a saudi funded, affirmative action candidate, chicago dirtball, marxist, free-speech oppressing, community agitator who says his foreign policy experience comes from his skin color and his travels.
btw, obama was born with dual citizenship. and the name of the soldier he forgot during the debate…yea his family asked obama to not dirty his name by getting it close to obama. but the master orchestrating propagandist didn’t care. and neither do you brainwashed tools.
also, i heard snl DID spoof obama last nite. didn’t they?
where’s the post?
liberalism is a mental disorder. i’ve been healed.

by any measure, she is so ignorant and unqualified to be vice-president, let alone president, that it is scary that people are taking her seriously, and i don’t care if you are a democrat or republican….you can’t seriously take her serious…
Adam: just the first DEMENTED line on your postings is always enough to get you got your fact out of home-schooling, probably in one of shitty redneck websites. Your so called arguments against Obama can not get more xenophobic, paranoid, and plain demented. Those websites you post are the most simple, fabricated truths than only morons of your size consider relevant.
Politics for dummies based on fear, not logic, or even real facts.
Maybe you are just deepening the arguments towards the depths of ignorance of republicans, I mean, Sarah Palin is an authority in politics?! Republicans keep bringing this morons as candidates, and keep electing them in spite of their incredible public displays of idiocy. Then then DARE to defame with lies others that oppose them? Evil, greed, denial, recklessness, unconsciousness: that’s the republican truth.
Actually SNL DID make fun of Obama last year. I saw that interview with Katie Couric and Sarah Palin is so far out of her league it is not even fun now. I am a hard-core, leftist-leaning Democrat and I feel sorry for her now!
Sarah Palin is a joke! SO proud to be a Canadian right now…
republicans out.
you angry, ignorant, dolt.
your arguments against me are paranoid, home schooled, fear driven, not real facts, not logic, fabricated and demented.
sound familiar?
look, read the link from my redneck, hillbilly EUROPEAN rag. everything i’ve said about obama is true. you can’t just call things fear mongering because it hurts your tender heart.
keep making my points for me. blanket all repubs under your labels of ‘greed, evil, redneckdom,’ etc.
i’ll keep calling you a stereotyping, intolerant, prejudiced, naive, emotionally driven idiot.
but hey, your intentions are good right?

obama was parodied on snl last nite.
i didn’t see it, and there’s unlikely to be a post on it at fyb

I love the fact that adam can spew his fallacies and we all laugh at him. Osama is coming after you so you better watch out. Yeah, that’s a good and original one. Spew on bitch because all you got is shit for brains.
Where’s the parody of Biden during his CBS evening news interview saying we could all learn from history “When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, ‘Look, here’s what happened,’. The problem is Republican Herbert Hoover was in office when the stock market crashed in October 1929 and there also was no television at the time (TV wasn’t introduced to the public until a decade later, at the 1939 World’s Fair.) He may want to study history first before schooling the rest of us.
If that one doesn’t work for SNL, they could also parody Biden’s recent comments he made at an Ohio campaign stop. He stated he didn’t support using coal to provide some of the nation’s future energy needs, not even clean-coal technology. They could show Obama calling Biden on the phone and telling him that the use of clean-coal is actually a major part Obama’s energy strategy (the plan Biden should be promoting as his running mate?) While they are on the phone, Obama could also tell Biden he’s for the AIG bailout (something Biden said should absolutely not happen.)
The Democratic ticket really has it all together. There’s nothing funny there!
bk.
wow. you showed me!
try clicking on my links—or providing one of your own. BITCH.
then, maybe you libs can reteach me how to be a liberal again.
btw. obama is still using jim johnson. and yes, he’s been thrown under the obamabus, but because obama is a graft machine and a complete fraud, he still seeks his advice. none of you care, or even notice.
where were his friends from his past at the dnc again? where are any of his friends from his past to vouch for him?
WHO IS dr. al-monsour?
you sheeple are despicable.
Okay, that was friggin’ hilarious. C’mon, adam, you have to admit that Palin is a complete disaster at interviews. It’d be bizarre if SNL didn’t do a sketch on her.
.
While Palin ain’t the sharpest knife in the drawer, she should definitely NOT step down/be removed. Doing so would be fatal to McCain’s campaign. Picking her as a running mate may ultimately prove to be a brilliant move. I initially thought Romney must’ve been in the washroom when McCain was calling round, but now I get the rationale. Palin may not be smart, but she holds a lot of voter appeal.
Btw, out of curiosity, are ppl here voting *for* their candidate or are they more voting *against* the other?
