Busy mom Katie Holmes appears to be effortlessly balancing the issue that working mothers the world over wrestle with — how to combine raising their children with their career!!!
Though she’s thrown herself back into work after taking a couple of years off to raise her only child, Katie makes sure she spends as much time with Suri as possible. And if that means taking her daughter to work then that is exactly what she does.
As Katie arrived on Broadway today for her performance in All My Sons she carried her 2-year-old bundle of joy wrapped in a cozy blanket. And to keep her occupied she carried a selection of toys - a cuddly lamb, doll and small giraffe.

Under Clinton, the entire federal government put massive pressure on banks to grant more mortgages to the poor and minorities. Clinton’s secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Andrew Cuomo, investigated Fannie Mae for racial discrimination and proposed that 50 percent of Fannie Mae’s and Freddie Mac’s portfolio be made up of loans to low- to moderate-income borrowers by the year 2001.
Threatening lawsuits, Clinton’s Federal Reserve demanded that banks treat welfare payments and unemployment benefits as valid income sources to qualify for a mortgage. That isn’t a joke — it’s a fact.
A decade later, the housing bubble burst and, as predicted, food-stamp-backed mortgages collapsed. Democrats set an affirmative action time-bomb and now it’s gone off.
In Bush’s first year in office, the White House chief economist, N. Gregory Mankiw, warned that the government’s “implicit subsidy” of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, combined with loans to unqualified borrowers, was creating a huge risk for the entire financial system.
Now, at a cost of hundreds of billions of dollars, middle-class taxpayers are going to be forced to bail out the Democrats’ two most important constituent groups: rich Wall Street bankers and welfare recipients.
Political correctness had already ruined education, sports, science and entertainment. But it took a Democratic president with a Democratic congress for political correctness to wreck the financial industry.
The current headache begins and ends with republican ideology, namely that of former Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan–an acolyte of Ayn Rand, a free-market absolutist, a true believer in the evils of regulation. Many of the present headaches point directly back to the decisions made by the Greenspan Fed. Sure, there is plenty of other blame to go around: an unengaged president, a clueless Congress, a hapless FDIC, a compromised OFHEO, and Phil Gramm–but the biggest and most accusatory finger points directly at Easy Al. Regulating the bank industry to fulfill the greedy expectation of the most powerful.
It’s pretty sad. I’d be the first to say that Democrats contributed to the problems. But the Republicans want too much. They want to turn a problem that is 70% Republican/30% Democratic into one that’s 100% Democratic.
greed even in the blame!
what about ZERO accountability from all the republicans when THEY ARE THE ONES IN THE WHITE HOUSE AND WALLSTREET?
The quote form the republican above is taken from a right-wing site which thinks that whenever the media criticizes the Republicans, it’s biased. BEWARE! this is the new”truth” that blames the poor, and takes responsibility of the bankers, their greed, and the government! A typical republican move of uber simplifying the situation appealing to a sense of animosity towards the lower classes (classist mentality) ,so it can be processed by their very very very simple base of useful friendly idiots, that think the few on top will actually give some wealth back in any other form than taxes….WTF?
But of course the taxes are handed over to the bankers with a problem!
the republican dream solution to the shithole:
Risk all that the government (the people) will pay!
Suri is a cute girl but i wonder why noone noticed she never ever smiles but let Zahara frown and its all about what a mean looking little girl and all that both are cute and both very seldom smile.. i have seen Z smile that time Brad was tickling her in the park.. never seen Suri smile at all!
