BRAD’S NEW PAD

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are taking a break from their French hideaway Chateau Miraval for Germany, where Brad is due to film Quentin Tarantino’s World War II flick, Inglorious Bastards.

After arriving in Berlin yesterday afternoon, the picture pefect twosome and their brood of kids have reportedly taken a 90-day rental on Palais Parkschloss.

The 12 000 square meter estate boasts its own 14-member staff, a full security system, a dock on Wannsee Lake, and a private helicopter landing pad.

….Dont you all feel for the children here?
I mean they dont have a “regular home setting”….Granted these people are not normal by any means, but as a parent wouldnt you want your chldren to have a “home” instead of moving here and there?
I cant understand these people that move children around all the time.

Despite reports that she was no longer attached, Moviehole has confirmed that Angelina Jolie has now officially signed onto Phil Noyce’s “Edwin A. Salt” - or is it “Edwina A. Salt”?. Pre-production has commenced, with a projected shoot date of February 16th, 2009.

The fictional film centers on a CIA officer who is fingered as a Russian sleeper spy. She eludes capture by superiors who are convinced she is out to assassinate the president. While trying to reunite with her family, she struggles to prove someone else is the traitor.

Are you kidding me? All children care about is being with their family and parents. They don’t care if it’s a tent in the desert or a huge mansion. All they want is their parents and the Jolie-Pitt children are ALWAYS with their parents. So, STFU and stop acting like you know anything about these kids, their needs or what they do or don’t need. Sheesh

Post 4 - - man, I just asked a simple question - - You didnt have to get all bi-polar on me.
    Shit.
This is coming from a grown adult, that as a child moved around all the damn time.
I hated it, and it has made it rough in alot of areas of my life to this day, and I am not the only one that parents did this to.
    .
So post number 4, I do accept your apology for going bi-polar on me, as its not your fault.

Film actors work on location so they can leave their family for months or travel with them. Many actors travel with their kids and the kids are homeschooled examples Will Smith John Travolta yet noone complains about them .Brad stated on Larry King that they always keep their brood together and that they take turns working.

Looks almost just like the Kennedy compound! Accept for the trees hugging the house and the Atlantic ocean not at the doorstep that is.

Not True #4, agree. These kids are probably more secure and balanced than parents who never go or do anything ith their kids right in their own home! Their kids are no different than Cate Blanchetts….Matt Damon’s…..or how Paul & Linda Macca were along and the gazillion other families who live a life of travel. Cate Blanchett said they tried to not roll as a family, it didn’t work, they hated being apart and she and her husband made a decision that the family would stay together no matter where they were working. I think it’s freaking great, and if it can be do, more power to giving kids the world as a classroom. Military, diplomats, company exec’s, National Geo Photog Annie Griffiths Belt who wrote “A Camera, Two Kids, and a Camel: My Journey in Photographs.” The JP’s didn’t invent it and aren’t the only people who live or will live like this…………..they just got mo money mo money.

Dude that’s you. Don’t project your own issues onto kids you don’t even know. And #6 ita. Actors always bring their kids with them but for some reason people are fixated on these children.

Friggin Cate Blanchett brought her newborn to an event in Australia then stood and posed with him so the paps could take pictures. No one batted an eye.

This is a blogspot, where you , I and others can share this and that, and stuff.
But my short time here, I have been cussed out, and told that my thoughts are writings are wrong.
So, in that nutshell, I have decideded to not come back to this place that I have seen nothing but very hateful and bitter people if you dont agree with them 100%.
I am not a robot, I am a human with my own life, and thoughts.
I hope you all get some help.

Did you just have a post today that said Brad hadn’t been with his family in weeks?

  12. September-24-2008 @ 12:35 pm

Cassie………I remember Brad being interviewed at an LA premiere he flew from India to be at. He said he couldn’t put his famly flying in just to turn around and fly back. What struck me and what I never forgot was how wistful he was talking about how he missed his “peeps.” It was like wow, this dude has it bad for his family! A few months later they had moved back to Cali. It was in Santa B I think and although he came alone to another event but his “peeps” were there in the town with him. He told the blond from ET that “we don’t split the family, we roll together.” I remember thinking that trip he took from India must have messed him up lol. He missed his boo’s, and I just fell more in love with Brad for not giving a damn who knew he loved his family and wanted them whereever he was.

    September-24-2008 @ 12:54 pm

Yeah and he said in Toronto recently for the BAR premier that he’d only been gone from his family for a couple of hours and he missed them so much already. Angelina had twins barely 12 weeks ago. Why these tabloids and pap agencies have to constantly be up on her is bizarre. Why would a woman who’s breastfeeding travel from Europe to Canada with newborns for 1 1/2 days? Paps are just pissed that the place in France was like Fort Knox and couldn’t get new photo’s of her to run bogus stories. Leave the woman alone

Brad also said on Larry King Live that it’s the law in their house they do not separate the family, ever.

  14. September-24-2008 @ 3:01 pm

Leo…….I forgot about the Larry King show declaration. “it the”law”…………….love it!

I’ve often wondered the same thing about their moving around lots. Sure kids need their parents and yes B and A are always with their kids… but kids also need the stability of the same home, the same friends, etc. Going to the same school with the same people and seeing your friends everyday are important to kids. I know this because I have young kids and they enjoy seeing their friends everyday. Moving from country to country and house to house and never knowing where you’re waking up next can be traumatic. They need to know what’s coming next, as everyone does.

LOL @ Joker’s comments. He’s so right. There are some real nutbags out here. Joker, hopefully you’ll stick around and just cuss them out in return. We all have different opinions but some folks would benefit from slowing down a bit and looking at both sides of the coin. Yes, I do think there can be some repercussions from moving kids around so much as children like structure. On the flip side, kids are highly adaptable to most situations and are also capable of moving around w/ little disruption to their lives. So there’s both sides to the argument. And frankly, at the end of the day it’s not our business what anyone does with their kids.

Can I just say Woohoo! Joker is not visiting or writing on this post anymore. I could not listen to thst cry baby whine about moving as a kid. Welcome to life! Youre parents would’ve been sheltering you if they had you live in one town your whole upbringing. Plus complaining about moving when children are out there starving, being abused and dealing with war? Get a life…or better yet, go see the world like the Jolie-Pitt kids are fortunate enough to do.

I have to say that although we Australians live so far away- we still get all the gossip.

There is no doubt, that this family is one of the happiest families around. They are a family, they are made of millions, six children, new babies etc… I don’t think anyone could ask for more.

They truly are fantastic actors, and beautiful children! In a way, I wish I had their lives. Lucky people!!

While I think that it must be great to get to travel to all of these places the kids are really too young to understand or appreciate that. I have a son the same age as Maddox and he has gone to the same school for the past three years. Every time the Jolie-Pitts move and enrol Maddox in yet another school I feel bad for him. Stability is the most important thing that you can give to a child and allowing them to make friends and build relationships outside of their family is truly a gift. These children will experience none of this. If I had to move around constantly to earn a living I guess that I could but if I was a multi-millionaire who never needed to work again I would never choose to expose my children to such a nomadic life and risk them losing out on having a childhood best friend that they love seeing every day. Form the perspective of an adult we all think that it would be great to be rich but is it really worth giving up the simplicities of childhood for?

I think that it’s good that they’re moving the family to germany, that means that the whole family wants to be together and that brad doesn’t want to be apart from his family. I think it’s better that he moves the family to germany than the kids being raise by the staff, the would look like bad parents this way.

If they want, if they can then why not do iy? They’re by far a normal family but I think they’re happy of being this way. so don’t be so envious lol

Shell ,I’m curious do you think actors with children should leave the children for weeks or months at a time since you don’t feel they should go on location with with their parents . Do you also feel musicians like Wynona Judd, who takes her kids on the road in a bus a different city every night ,should leave them at home . I remember Nicole Richie saying ,on Oprah ,how her parents were rarely home because her dad Lionel was on the road and her mother often joined him and that’s when she got involved with drugs.Angie said in People Dec 06 that they would travel less as their kids got older and that they work in the summer working on 1 project a year. Also Brad has mentioned on Larry King that he will act less and work on other projects like producing that doesnt’t require relocating.I realize I’m rambling but my dad was a truck driver gone for weeks at a time and I missed him greatly . I happy that these kids are always with their dad and mom.Obviously as they become pre-teens their friends will become more important and I’m sure their parents will adjust their work schedule accordingly but right now only one is school age 7y.o. Maddox

No Angela, I don’t think that at all. Not at all. But I DO think kids needs more stability in their lives than being moved from country to country, attending different schools constantly with different people around them all the time. I don’t know what their lives are really like on the inside, I’m only making a shallow judgment from the outside. Like we ALL are.

And D… why the hell are celebrating running Joker off like that? I happened to like his/her comments and responses to things and I’m probably not the only one. Grow up already and respect other’s different opinions. The world would be a brighter place from your perspective if you did so. Take Angela for example, she disagreed with me, but didn’t stoop to your immature antics at all and call me names or anything. We disagreed like two grown ups and moved on respectively.
Why don’t you try it for a change.
