While it’s normally Janet Jackson who takes front and centre, it was beau Jermaine Dupri’s time to shine last night as the music mogul celebrated his 36th birthday party at Tenjune in New York City last night.
Days after it was announced that Janet left Island/DefJam after one failed album, the pop superstar appeared in good spirits depsite having an uncertain future.
So what’s next for JJ? Rumours are swirling that she wants to take a break and have a baby, but it’s Janet’s money-making that helps keep the Jackson family running. No work, no money for Papa Joe Jackson.

I wonder how proud Coco’s parents honestly are of her.
To me, she looks so uncomfortable, though I would be to hauling all of that silicone around.
I think having a baby is a great idea for Janet! Her singing career is pretty much over and she had a great run! Now time to be a mom and maybe wife!

Oh Janet.. usually it’s the clothes you wear that look atrocious, today it’s the make-up. Maybe you should have waxed your upper lip and lightened up on the eye-makeup it’s just too much. I like JD tho he’s a cutie even tho he’s short. Why oh why would anyone want to be associated with ICED TEA and COCO is beyond me.
Not a Janet fan but she looks darling there. Seriously, she’s got a Josephine Baker - meets - Betty Boop vibe going there with the Tam and doe eyes.
Oh, and I caught the LnO SVU season opener last nite and IceT looks SO much better with the ponytail gone. Show was alright (not great, not worse I’ve seen).
The same can be said about Jlo.. she is unemployed too.. and she doesn’t have
another album coming out.. Janet is worth more than Jlo and she is the one that
is unemployed can’t get any money.. Wow.. When are times going to change
so that the real unemployed singers out there are talked about.. When you are worth millions you don’t need to work..
She already said that she does not want children..and that papa joe does control her money she does
