It’s a sight more rarely seen than a blue moon – Reese Witherspoon actually had a smile for the photographers as she arrived at LAX International Airport in Los Angeles today.
After dropping the kids off at ex-hubby Ryan Phillippe’s pad, the Academy Award-winning actress was snapped making her way through the terminal en route to a mystery location. Though we figure London is a good guess as beau Jake Gyllenhaal is currently filming the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time flick there.
Meanwhile, in other Witherspoon news, the Avon global ambassador has just written a gripping op-ed about breast cancer and the importance of getting screened for CNN.
Writes Reese:
“I am passionate about fighting this devastating disease. I fight for my mother, myself, my children and future generations of women, so one day we will not have to be afraid of breast cancer. I began my fight by learning important first steps in breast cancer detection, and will not end my fight until every woman can stand together saying we are breast cancer free. More than anything else, I have faith — faith we will find a cure.”

Anna maybe it was because she lives in LA and she didn’t get a free trip, free hotel, free meals, and an expense account. I guess she figures why bother to show up for a charity thing she’s getting paid for if she’s not getting any perks too. Or maybe she was too busy in Haiti or helping victims of Ike in Texas….yeah right.
