Simon Cowell will be all the more powerful on the next season of American Idol, despite/due to the addition of Grammy-nominated songwriter Kara DioGuardi.
Why, you ask? Paula Abdul revealed in a new radio show interview that, in the case of a tie, he’ll cast the deciding vote!!
We normally don’t like authoritarian rule (look what it did for Cuba), but when you consider the other possible options, we’ll take what we can get. Rule on, Simon!

Simon is the best part of a really crappy show!! I used to like it when it first started but it really suck now. Simon is the only good part.
They should call it quits on this show. It hasn’t been good for years!
Yeah it blows, but the first couple of episodes of every season are hillarious! I love the balls on some of the people thinking that they are actually talented.
eh this is the nr 1 show on TV so just beat it haters. i mean not just nr 1 by a small margin. but nr 1 by a Huge margin.
Simon has the worst track record though of the judges. so I dont like him having more power. Paula has the best
Idol rocks! paula rocks! and well I like Simon too but it should be equal. He did turn down a lot of their most successful contestants. He shouldnt have more power. But anything for controversy I guess.
