The 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards was filled with jokes. Few were funny.
One moment that managed to get a few laughs was when Josh Groban sang a medley of 25 classic TV show theme.
It’s talent like this that made funnygirl Kathy Griffin tell E!’s Ryan Seacrest: “I just saw Josh Groban on the red carpet. It’s got to hurt you that he gets so much more tail than you do!”

The show really did suck. Josh was funny. Jimmy Kimmel was funny. Heidi Klum was so space-headed and awkward. The hosts all sucked.
he is brilliant.
that’s real talent, none of this overproduced, synthesized shit.
Josh Groban is not only funny but knows how to have fun too! How many other artists step outside the safety of ‘their box’ and dare to be themselves? I thought it was amazing how Josh was able to display the enormous diversity and range of his voice in this 4 minute medley. I’ve read some of the acid tongued critics reviews of last night - sheesh get a life for goodness sake.
Josh isn’t afraid to show his dorky or serious side to the public, (remember Malcolm Wyatt in Ally McBeal and Anatoly in Chess?) this guy is so multi-talented and he’s hardly even scratched the surface of the full range of his performing assets - watch this space, you’ll be amazed!
I agree Jerusha — at first I was thinking” uh oh…bad move” but then he was so versatile and talented, and nailed the feeling of each of those those songs beautifully. I have always been a fan of his talent, but now I am a fan of his.
Here’s a list of all the television shows Josh made reference to during his medley performance at the 2008 Emmy’s:
